GAT and ART monos are home .....

Bob,

I'll send you my ez pass and cover your tolls. Maybe even have a sandwich ready.

How's your back? Can you help move some gear?

Joe
No car, but you can send me the air fare:P Of course I'd help you move some gear.

A sandwich would be fine, but I'd settle for some Nathan's or Sabrett hot dogs:woot::woot:

Great stuff...presume you've evened out your bass response which I know you've wanted to do for some time?

Yea, the Deqx has evened out the speaker bass response in the bass only - under 200hz and I have another 3 eq profiles for those big bass recordings like a lot of electronic music. Outside of spending a lot of $$$ on passive room treatments ( that may not work) or building another room, the Deqx works a treat.

cheers

cool. I have a 30hz bass node in one spot in the room. I may try to get back tot he Velodyne internal EQ to try to eliminate it. But its only one spot in the room and probably comes up 1 in every 30-40 albums for a couple seconds so not really that much of a bother.

Joe,

I was wondering how things in the GAT/ART system may be evolving as the use hours add up.
Since things were great out-of-the-box, I was wondering if you've notice many changes, or even those occasional " it sounds worse today than yesterday" ..that seem to happen in some cases.

PS, I'm hoping, maybe, just maybe, late this week...I'll get the call about my own ARTs. :D

Ray,

My fingers are crossed for this week delivery of your babies.

I have to tell you that I have not noticed any downside to the sound. There may have been a few moments here and there but overall it is SPECTACULAR!

I was told the amps had about 50 hours and the preamp had about 100 hours from their testing/setup. I've put another 100 or so on the ART amps and about 125 or so on the GAT, so I am still under the break in curve. I am still in love, big time. It's just wrong.

The better question is how would the CJ gear sound on a pair of Raidho's? :)

I have a feeling it will be awesome, then I will be in trouble.

+1 Raidho's are pretty special. I have not heard the Tad's but I have heard the Raidho's. Imaging and separation of the instruments and vocals like I've never heard before. Not to mention the quietness between those too. A really special speaker but it does come with a window sticker that's out of my budget. Tell you what -- buy a pair of D1's and try them out. When you decide to upgrade to the D3's send my your D1's for getting you interested:exciting:. I'm sure Tyler will work out something;).

Ha!

We'll talk :)

I'll be hearing them is a couple of weeks. I am curious how they compare.
