When the choice is, not being able to use it because you don't have the right cable, or use an adapter, use the adapter.

can you elaborate on this. confused or not, it doesnt fit and it has to. no other way! may i just change that inlet?
i think a full europe version must be available?

You need one of these:
Shunyata - 15Amp Cable to 20Amp Component Adapter (ea) | Shop Music Direct
It should be fine if you're using the Everest only for front end. If you also have your amps connected to the Everest, then you need to have your PC reterminated with a 20A IEC (for example: http://www.furutech.com/2016/05/19/13044/) or purchase a new PC to the wall with a 20A IEC.

All Shunyata power distributors use 20A inlets. What you have is the full EU version.
lol, how dumb i am. finally i understand it. thx all.
luckily the shop was closed already as i wanted to call the dealer and shout at him. now going to please him for an adapter

i might look at the inlet tomorrow how hard and possible a change to a 15a inlet would be.
not very recommended i guess

That's not something that should ever be an option that you're considering. Don't mess with the Everest.

the highest of all distributors:)
i wont touch that inlet, promised. leaning towards an adapter or a dedicated cord

I cannot remember if Everest comes with a 20A stock power cord. Did you check the box again? As for me, I have an AQ Hurricane 20A cable from when I used it with Denali, so I didn’t really have to use stock 20A cable.

bought a nude everest.
no box or anything. ripped it out of the dealers system.

i wish i had this stockcord for the moment

Everest comes without cable.
You have bought an amazing device, my advice is not to spoil it with an inappropriate cable.

gracias francisco. i think you are absolutely right.
final solution might be omega xc. may be an adapter first until cash reloads.

everest at home! this is very tall yet good looking.
the sound? i dont know because the powercord from the wall doesnt fit, the everest side seems to be us style. while output 1-8 is europe style. the dealer didnt tell me anything about that complication. and the shop is closed now.
i have seen now, there is an adapter available but i really dont want to run the everest with an adapter.
what should i do? is there no full europe version?

Hi, I think there is some confusion about the female power input on the Everest 8000. All of our power distributors use a 20A (C-19) power input connection. This is a universal connection in all countries. It requires a power cord with that same connection on the end of the power cord. The reason we use these is that they are more secure than 15A connections and present a solid connection. It is true you will need a 20A IEC fitted power cord for that application.

I would add that for a product like the Everest, the power cord from Everest to the wall determines system performance to a larger degree than power cords to electronics. This is because the power cord to the wall supports the current for multiple components. For each additional component you plug into Everest, the power cord to the wall takes on a cumulatively larger role. We recommend Alpha XC power cord or larger, depending on the system context and the amount of current being drawn through Everest.

If we can be of any help with further specifics or recommendations, please don't hesitate to contact us via phone or e-mail at your convenience.

Thanks, I hope this is of some help.

Best regards,

Grant
