Without getting myself in trouble, Jim, I will say that I believe you will quite happy with what is coming.
Something specifically for amplifiers.
Something to make owners of Delta D6, Alpha A12/A10 and Sigma S12 very happy.
Something to make our TYPHON fans happy. (which is no longer in production)
Something reasonably priced!
Maybe Saint Nicolas will have something in his sleigh?
More than that, I cannot say for now.
Well, it doesn't really matter, I just accepted my Sigma XC buyback offer from my dealer, so I ordered an Omega XC.
Hi all,
finally received my Everest (which replaces a Denali v2). Listened after 2h of warming up and right away had a lovely grin on my face! I imagined the Everest just being bigger, faster and so forth. Instead it‘s much more about ease, refinement ... like everything got polished on the tracks so that it shines at it‘s very best. Like you opened a magic door where the real record was waiting all the time behind and the Everest being the magic key!
Btw that is with a AQ Hurricane to the wall. My plan was to get a Sigma XC and use the Hurricane somewhere else. The Omega is 7.500€ which is crazy money. I remember Puma saying for his gear/room the Sigma was more than enough. So any thoughts are much appreciated. The thing is with the Hurricane in place it already sounds really gooood (smooth, detailed, everything)...

Hehe, yeah right! ... in the end aren’t we all a bit crazy?!
@Puma: Will let you know once I get it (haven’t ordered it yet, but apparently the German distributor has one in stock).
I‘m testing a pair of big Bryston Monos currently at home. Do you see any current supply shortages with those (plus a big REL)... which makes 3 1000Watt amplifier getting there juice from one source (Everest/one socket)? My room size is moderate about the size you described (about 15x15ft) and I‘m listening at moderate levels; mostly acoustic (guitar and some piano) and vocals.
Any thoughts are much appreciated!
Hi there,
is actually just two amps (Bryston 28b3), which I love due to the fact that they sound wonderful at moderat volumes (meaning you don‘t need to crack things up to get things going). The third is my REL subwoofer.
Don‘t know about short peaks, but my guess is that all of those three need considerably less power most of the time.
... ah yeah almost forgot: Speakers are B&W 802 Diamonds![]()
very cool!My Omega XC finally arrived today. Since I can't post pictures from my iPad here, I posted some on WBT. I've only been 30 minutes with it installed and the results are very promising and oddly not in the way I expected.
not sure as many have reported that the half priced alpha2 beats the sigma1.Congratulations Francisco!! Please keep us updated on what changes you expected, and what changes you're experiencing, once you have a chance to listen more.
On another note, IMO the best deal on a power cord for the Everest right now is the Sigma EF (previous version shortly before the XC). It retailed for $2,500, and I saw one available for sale in used market the other day for half that. Amazing deal if you ask me, as the difference between the Sigma EF and the new Sigma XC is probably not huge, especially for that kind of pricing
