Just to be accurate, any photographs and posts regarding performance of Everest were regarding a production unit, not a beta unit.
 
Wondering, based on my current Shunyata power conditioners, whether I'd really benefit from stepping up to the Everest, either in its current configuration or a future rack-based design. Any thoughts?
 
Thanks for pointing that out. Guess I'll simply need to get an Everest demo unit in house, to see if it makes for superior solution over what I have today. And if the big leap in cost is warranted by a big leap in SQ.

Lucky you have that option. For others it will be a leap of faith. As for the big leap in cost, that depends how you measure it. Denali > Everest is a leap of $3K. But the more appropriate comparison might be Tv3+TQR/BB > Everest which isn't a leap at all. More like a fall of about $10K.
 
Indeed. The price is very reasonable for a product supposed to be the best there is, whatever the price. Meaning that it may be used together with components costing 10 or 20 times more.

Also if you compare it to a PS Audio P20, eventhough most people seem to think that the Denali V2 is already ahead of the P20.

I was half-way thinking of getting one, or three, but the current version is impractical for me. I would need one for each amp since they both have a dedicated 20 amp line, and one for my source gear, which would only use three ports.

The will only be a tower version of the Everest.

If you need a shelf unit get any of the following:
Delta D6
Alpha A12
Sigma S12
Denali 6000/S v2

Hi Caelin,

I am happy to report that I have an Everest on order. ;)

One question I asked recently in another of the many Evert threads but you probably didn't see.

The question is about grounding. I intend to connect to the Everest the 2 Devialet units and my source (currently a LPS feeding a Mac mini).

There are other devices in my system such as the Melco hub, an RJ45 -> optical converter, an Apple TV, a Bluray/SACD player, A PS4,... that I intend to feed from a PS8 connected with a Venon V10 NR to another plug in the wall.

I am wondering how you would recommend to manage the grounding. Are the following assumptions correct?
- all the devices connected to the Everest with power cables will be natively grounded and don't require any additional measure
- what matters to avoid ground loop currents resulting from different ground potential is to connect electrically all the elements of the system to the same grounding reference
- it should be sufficient to connect the grounding terminal of the PS8 to one of the 4 grounding terminals of the Everest to ensure that all the components connected to the PS8 and Everest are at the same ground potential and therefore don't see any ground loop currents

In case you have a white paper on grounding somewhere I'd of course be glad to read it.

My order is in, can’t wait. Haven’t been excited about a product in awhile. Maybe because this will improve 8 different components at the same time, including HT side of things. I currently have original Denali 6000T + AQ Niagara 1000, so expect a bigger leap of performance than 6000S/V2.
 
Who's going to be the first to buy a Sir Edmund Hillary figurine and sit it on top of their Everest 8000T ?

I didn’t know you had 4 grades of grounding cables. If I may ask, why would you need such high end offerings for a simple grounding application?

Is the CGS similar to TRIPOINT, Entreq or other grounding box products?
There are many chassis grounding and signal grounding products, and both types of products provide a common grounding point. However, the method of reducing ground noise varies by manufacturer. The CGS is a patented chassis grounding system only and was not designed for signal ground connections. The CGS Chassis Grounding System is compatible with any signal grounding type product — just don’t connect them together.
