Are you happy with your current set up?

He better go. I want a co-pilot and someone to secure my wallet, just in case. :)
I can't imagine that there's much left in there.
Depends on which model. :exciting:

100% Club - so i'm playing Bobby Vee "Down the Line" a Buddy Holly Tribute, 1999 recording - 3 part harmony, hard left front speaker is the high harmony, hard right front speaker is the low harmony and Bobby's lead vocal is coming from dead center location. When guests come over their jaws drop when they walk up to the center speaker and discover IT'S NOT ON!!!

If you claim to be in the 95% or 100% group and you've changed your speakers, amp, preamp, or source in the last 12 months, I call B.S.

I have done most of that, and added a dedicated 20 amp line, some new power cords, and new interconnects. Now I sit here just amazed at how well it sounds. I really do not see a need for any upgrades in the near future, so I will put myself in the 95% category. However, I am thinking of supplementing the system by adding a Shunyata Typhoon to the Triton.

I've changed my mind too. I decided on sit back and enjoy my new equipment.
Not buy anything for 1 year. But go listen to alot of stuff so I know how much money to save.
I just moved to 95%. Lol

I'm 60%
choosing between Alexia and D3. I have not heard D3> Prejudging from all your comments I expect D3 to be the better speaker. For now I'm still an Alexia fan .
Being a little selfish I'm ready to interview home theater specialist in Toronto.I'm open to suggestions

Joe, the truth is that we are a kid in a candy store. I was looking at the CJ gear yesterday and is classic and elegant and my friend that is candy. It is very easy to end up with a second system or even a third, heck a new system altogether. Leave your wallet at home.

I agree here. I loved the Alexia when I heard it, even though it was not with my preferred electronics. I immediately knew there was something special going on. I expect the D3 to be outstanding for the way I listen to music.

Steve that is smart. I find when I make too many changes or rotate gear too quickly, it dilutes my experience and I find myself obsessing about the gear, not the music. Just like a fine wine, your system needs to mature and you need to breathe.

Lmao!!! I hate when that smart sensible Steve signs in under my name !!!
Damn him!!!!
But seriously my mission this fall/winter/spring is to put 1000 hours on my cartridge
And speakers. Crawl under my house and run a dedicated line, and only buy a power cord for my preamp. Drive around and listen to some monitors and phono pres and go record shopping.

That sounds like a good plan. You'll be getting a bunch of new gear in soon so you might as well sit back and enjoy it. It's getting close to the season to bask in the warmth of those Snappers. Maybe the Giants will even win a game.

Depending on the day, I switch in between 60% and 25%. My setup has been the same for about two years because my budget won't allow for any meaningful upgrades. I do get some great enjoyment from my current rig but I know that it definitely leaves room for improvement mostly because I am using a 9 year old entry level AVR as my pre/pro.

Welcome aboard Matt!! The fact that you said you get some great enjoyment out of your system is the most important part!!!!

Hey BlueMcIntosh,

As of now, I'm running an AMR CD-777, a Karan Acoustic KA I-180, some Harbeth P3ESR's, and a set of Klipsch RF-7 II's. Truth be told, I enjoy each and everyone of those components. The AMR won't be going anywhere anytime soon. Ditto for the Karan. And the Harbeth's make for wonderful 'desktop'-type loudspeakers. So why do I seem so discontent?

I'm not. Well, Okay.. Maybe I'm a little discontent. Fact is, I'm just a guy who enjoys listening to different types of gear. I'm also a guy who has become so accustom to critiquing what I hear that I can't stop myself from honing in on the flaws inherent to every single design-type. A maddening juxtaposition, I know! Yet for some odd reason, I still find the pursuit of hearing different gear to be fun! Such a pleasant misery, this hobby.... :D
