Are you happy with your current set up?

80-95%. I love the way the 2ch part of my system sounds as is. The only other speakers I might be interested in are ones I can't fit (big Maggie's or Soundlabs that have to come far out into the room). I sometimes wonder what a different amp (ie, Classe, Pass Labs) might sound like on the Salons, but the Mac is wonderful. LOVE the Esoteric, LOVE the Krell. So, in the end, I probably won't change anything, but I may add a dedicated music server. The only change I may make is adding a better amp for the Revel Voice2 center to coax better sound than the Sunfire multichannel amp can provide. So based on that long-winded assessment  I believe I'm in the 80% camp overall, and 95% camp on 2 ch system. (Oops, just about to hit post when I realized that I am desperately trying to fight off the cable curiosity bug. All good cable sound alike. All good cables sound alike. All good cables.......:panic:)

Hahaha!!!! You guys are funny!!!
For me ill never be totally satisfied.
Once I get this new table and speakers home, I will have the major components
Settled and be happy with my system. That doesn't mean I have to stop adding to the enjoyment. I'm buying a tonearm that can handle any cartridge and has removable headshell.
To run several cartridges with easy change capability. Not neccessarily better just different.
I'd also like to test out some different phonostages. And add another choice to my mc step up.
I'd like to have a good pair of floorstanders and a good pair of monitors.
I'm happy with the hovland and the snappers and the table that is coming is a keeper.
The rest to me is always interchangeable .
What about equip rack. I've already built and retired 2 . I'm using the 3rd one now and already planning the 4th. It's all just fun to me. And if you dropped the best system on earth in my house, I'd probably sell it and start over. Lol!!!!
Guess I'm at 66%.

I'm in the 50% category for sure! :)

People that don't swap gear don't understand those that do and visa-versa.

Very well said. But apparently the swappers really annoy the non-swappers.

50% here.;)

If you claim to be in the 95% or 100% group and you've changed your speakers, amp, preamp, or source in the last 12 months, I call B.S.

I would love to be swappers well. I think we all are. However the person i know he sold his house three times to buy his audio gears ( no I'm not talking Mike or Joe :)) now he decide to make his own gears. His brand is "Song Audio" ( based in Toronto )

Well hope I have enough $$$ to be swappers.

One day eh? :(

Just curious how much are you satisfied with your current set up ?

100% - I'm done . Won't change my gears for a long time.

95% - Almost there but will change one or another time to time.

80% - I'm pretty much done with system maybe add one or two more gears down the road.

60% - I like what I'm hearing but will change my speakers or amp very soon.

50% - I don't care what I have I will keep change my gears it's my passion.

25% - darn...why everyone else has a better than mine .

0% - I just hate my system.

Believe it or not this is the category that best describes me; the 50% happy dilemma. :)

Swappers never really annoyed me, I just didn't understand them. Now that I've been friends with Mike and Joe for a good while, I understand their thinking, and really enjoy their enthusiasm !!!

I'd have to change my previous rating. I am now in the 80-95% category. Sure I may add a Linn Klimax or MSB dac down the road, but overall I love what I am hearing. Whether I hook up my GAT to my Dartzeel or ART monos or swap the Studio2's, SF Evos or TADs in and out, I love the level of musicality I have now. I have a great mix of gear and certainly enough to keep me entertained. Life is good. Who knows what will happen when I hear the Raidho's but my TADs, especially, have never sounded better.

Contemplating new purchases, awaiting new devices soon to b released, demoeing new stuff against my own equipment, tweaking my room setup, and most notably closing my eyes and just enjoying the sheer bliss of listening to music for a couple of hours is actually very time consuming. If I subtract this time from my job, golf, yoga, travel, cooking and hanging with my lovely wife, I would have way too much time to get myself in trouble. This hobby keeps me safe and helps me avoid other much less desirable temptations.(i.e.-building my own meth lab in the back of a RV, running with the Bulls in Pamplona, or taking on a mistress). So yes I am currently very happy with my current setup.
PS-so is my wife.

Too funny Nick. Audio is a much safer bet and healthier than your other possible endeavors.
He better go. I want a co-pilot and someone to secure my wallet, just in case. :)
I can't imagine that there's much left in there.
