Yello

Well. Turned out I got a full refund and keep all of the salvage. Vinyl ranges from EX to M-. Covers range from P to EX. Most are P from the water damage. Everything was dried out quickly, so no mould.

And the sound?

Just purchased this today at local record store. Jingle Bells, Yello style!

Vinyl is very resillent. you almost lucked out

I remember almost 30 years ago when the upper floor unit flooded and the water came down and flooded my unit as well. All my LP's that were sitting on the floor got water damaged. Insurance paid to replace all the lp's water damaged.
I ended up buying probably only 30% of the 50 or so lp's damaged as all the lp's still played perfect. Still to this day I will bring out an LP I have not played for a while and notice the water damage on the sleeves. not often you get one over the insurance company

Once everything goes through AudioDesk and gets re-graded I will play. From what I see, I will be pleasantly surprised. :D

Played some more Yello from the salvage after some cleaning through the AudioDesk.
Not one pop, not one tick. M- vinyl.

The Mercury 12" 45rpm German pressings are really incredible. The 12" single compilations, mastering and pressing quality are the best Yello I've heard. Playback is a step up from the albums. A lot of varied material that is not the albums. Stuff I've never heard before.

Well ever since I met Michael Fremer he got me paranoid about my SRA. I spent many hours today with the Clearaudio protractor and a 100mm macro lens. Sure enough my tail was a bit low around 88 deg. Lifted it up and adjusted my weight accordingly. The woosh between tracks has dropped and the soundstage has deepened. I reckon I'm about 91-92 deg now.

I'm in a Yello mood and Stella is a killer album.

Gotta love Yello! I have all the albums on CDs (some vinyls too, but just for display, since I don't use turntable). I'm especially happy to own all first editions, MADE IN WEST GERMANY CDs - they sound superior to later remasters.
Met Dieter in 2013 :)

Absolutely! Better than the reissues. I haven't heard the recent vinyl reissues but I suspect the re-masters are from the same digital source as the CDs.

Happy to see another YELLO fan. :D
