LampizatOr 2A3 JJ is a huge surprise - it is too good to be true. It is in Golden Gate league, with the best tubes there are. It has this "something" that is immensely musical and true. I love it.

The thing that is understated is how good it feels to handle vintage tubes. They feel like dlicate instruments….and to know that are sooo old and cant be replaced nowadays...

I bought them new from a guy quite a few years ago and paid an obscene amount then. I shutter to think what they are worth today. The good news is that they have under 100 hours on them. I use them sparingly.

This is one tube that had never excited me. I've heard too many rumors about it being just a rebadged Chinese made tube. Plus...

I have a funny story. Last year I came across a dealer selling a pair of VAC 300b monoblocks (which I believe took 4 300b's each). He was asking about $5000 for the amps INCLUDING the Western Electric 300b's that filled all 8 slots, plus a couple of spares!!! By the time I saw the ad and called, it had been sold! Damn!!!
I watched over the months as the buyer quietly sold a pair at a time. No idea what he did with the amps.

Thanks for the feedback, Mike! A little disappointing to hear that but much better than wasting a wad of dough on them. I think I could be very happy with the Elrog 300B's.
