What Vinyl Do You Have On The Table?

I use a different arm with mono cartridge for mono records, there is a big difference in sound for older mono records pressings but not so much for recent pressing. I love mono recordings, no speaker phase issues, fewer microphones in the recording session makes it feel more natural. Mind you I love recordings up to the late 60's. I suspect up to the late 60's the recording engineer just tried to faithfully recreate the sound the musicians made. Since then they have tried to put their touch on the recording, with or without the blessing of the artist, which makes it less believable.

Mind you my comment above is just a generalization as there are some impeccable recordings done recently although mostly for audiophile labels/recordings.

Your table is set up with two tonearms Dan, or three?

Thx Evange! You have a nice table too.

I guess were neighbors (relatively speaking) as we both live in Montreal. Are you on the Island?

Thanks for the kind words.

Here's my Clearaudio:

I figure that my table wants to be like your table when it grows up. But, it does sound sweet and I love it.

Yes, I'm on the island.

Congrats, Ron! The VPI lineup is superb and hope to own something VPI one day! What cart are you using?
