What Vinyl Do You Have On The Table?

IMO, the best album of the 1990's.

Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dreams. 2011 lp reissue - excellent clean sound, although I do prefer the original US pressings

A great reissue, but slightly prefer the more energetic '59 6eye mono that Steve (Petro85) has. Great score, Steve!:audiophile:

Thanks for the recommendation, Mike!:audiophile:

Thanks for the info Shodhan. That's too bad, really one of my favorite Water Lily titles. The combination of Erhu with banjo sounds so odd on paper but sounds so right to the ear!

Thanks Myles. Will look this one up too. Amazon has this as a free album I can listen to for being part of Amazon prime. Will give it a listen!

Anyone getting the FIM River of Sorrow LP? Have it on CD (2 versions). Amazing sonics, especially the K2HD version. LP will just be killer IMO! I pre-ordered it. :audiophile:

Is River of Sorrow on LP a reissue? Think have had it for a while.

This is my favorite FIM album. The SACD, XRCD and especially the LP are really excellent. The LP also comes with a few songs such as "Duck Quacking" cut at 45 rpm that are really reference quality.

Not sure if River of Sorrow is reissue or not, but will be the first time I will have it on vinyl. So looking forward to it.

I have the SACD of Favorite Chinese Instrumentals . Another great disc. Parts of that track remind me of that Jeapordy jingle, LOL!

If you like the Pipa, Wu Man, a member of Yo Yo Ma's Silk Road Ensemble, has some really nice and fun Chinese and world fusion music. Here's one of my favs:

Wu Mann plays with Martin Smith on the Water Lily Music For The Motherless Child. Heard her last year playing at Carnegie with The Kronos Quartet and Kavi really captured the sound of her instrument on this recording. Wish it was on vinyl but they'd be hard pressed to sell 100 copies. Plus Kavi sold his Tim de designed machine and not sure the original master tape can be played back on any other machine.

Adam Cohen - Leonard's son, great recording and great songs. Chip off the old block.

Blonde Redhead - Another good recording, modern alternative, very spacious soundstage

The Stones - Honky Tony Woman is a classic!
