What Vinyl Do You Have On The Table?

Still one of my most enjoyable albums, Carmen McRae & Betty Carter - Duets
Very memorable versions of What's New, Stolen Moments, Am I Blue and more!

Listened to this after I gave it a scrub & kept cleaning...

celebrated with this after that....

That sounded very nice with a scrub so tried this one, better but still a bit harsh

I have a white label test pressing of this, from Analogue Productions. Just put some NOS Teslas 12AX7s and Mullard 12AT7s in my Herron phono stage. OMG...the midrange is liquid and sweet.

Buy an analog productions copy. I think you might be amazed

Have a few coming...;)

I would be amazed because I have never heard any CCR LP sound very good.

I've heard worse on vinyl but am hearing you loud & clear. A real comparison is Cold Chisel from Oz, hell, even Springsteen for that matter.

Myles, looks like some great listening!

Don't get me wrong. I had CCR on Aussie Festival pressings and I thought they sounded good, just these sound better

Its a slippery slop from here Kev :D

Have you bought your Air Tight Supreme yet? :celebrate008_2:

No.... just liked the look of it in the avatar. Will stick with the Shelter 501 III for now on the V12 & see just how "much" robust treatment I can get away with. The Air Tight Supreme would be a third cartridge for me. Am seriously thinking about the Shelter Harmony for my next one.

Yello 1985...Mercury W.German 1st Pressing. Double Album.

Just discovered this in my forgotten unsorted early collection stack. An album I purchased as a young lad when it was first released as an import for $4.95! It was dusty, ran it through the AudioDesk twice and it plays MINT.

Recently unbeknown, paid mega-bucks for a Canadian issue which was all I could find to add to the Yello collection. The original pressing kills this.

Steve,

I've seen you mention the "Yello 1985" LP in several threads. Do you mean the LP, "Yello 1980-1985: The New Mix in One Go" release?

If so, I agree it's an outstanding collection. I need to hunt down a German Mercury....
