What is your favorite piece of gear?

What an incredible reel to reel....Wow!

Some 'philes give me crap; and call it "the clock"...lol. But that's spoken, like someone who has never owned one.

Ask those who have; see what it took to replace it...or if they ever would! Switch-out the wall-wart PSU (I have the CI Audio VDC-SB pictured), and you'd be hard-pressed to find a better sub-$1k source...that does half as much!

The Subwoofer(2x JL Audio F113), my love/hate iTunes via an Apple iMac, Grado Headphones, and any Vinyl record player.

This is a tough question. Every single piece of gear and every accessory went through a very rigorous vetting process. Being a distributor I have the very cool perk of rotating full sets of electronics and even rack filters when the need or desire arises allowing me to enjoy the different presentations. There is however one piece that I have absolutely no intention of changing even if they make a higher model someday. The constant even if arms and carts also get rotated. That would be my Air Force One turntable.

Wow how long you been in the industry Jack? You think by now you would have learned to never say never! :) More appropriately, you should have said the AF1 has the lowest probability of going bye bye!

Easy. My ATC SCM7s. I have nothing but respect for ATC the more I listen and the more I read. These little wonders have taken me closer to natural sound at a price point I was just able to reach right now (with young family).

Not the greatest sounding receiver but it's definitely one of the coolest looking.
