The Jazz Messengers, "The Jazz Messengers". Sony rerelease of the Columbia original, 33&1/3 rpm. This iteration of the Jazz Messengers consisted of: Donald Byrd, Hank Mobley, Horace Silver, Doug Watkins and of course, Art Blakey. Talk about a lineup!

Now listening to Hank Mobley Quintet, "The Feelin's Good". 45rpm Blue Note/Music Matters release. Note that the players on this album are the same as on the Jazz Messengers album above, except Herbie Hancock plays instead of Horace Silver and Philly Joe Jones takes over on drums. With these two changes in lineup, the music changes quite a bit.

Great LP. I can also recommend this one:

I've got the 24 bit 192kHz version and it sounds really awesome. This live version of Old Man is the best of Neil Young ever IMO.

Hans, very cool. I've got so many versions, I like the Massey Hall version, too. The link you supplied is his BBC version, which is really good, also. Is that the version on the Neil Young Archives, Vol. 1 you pictured?

No Steve it is not. However it is definitely very much alike that is why I have posted it.

JJ Cale, "Okie". I bought this piece of vinyl many years ago, but I notice that it says it is a reissue by ABC Records on the back cover. The record was originally released in1974 by Shelter Records.
