the masterwork of a brilliant musician... townes van zandt | the late great

yet another texas artist recording a significant album in nashville

I've got a few of his albums and a few albums of his songs done by other artists. I haven't heard this one. Thanks for posting it. My favorite Townes album by far is "Live at The Old Quarter, Houston, Texas. He performed a lot of his best there and was in better voice on most of them than in the studio performances. He also tells a joke or two on the album.

back in for some more tvz... townes van zandt | no deeper blue

recored in ireland, i really, really like this one... but i can see why the faithful are not as enthused due to its lack of absolute sparseness, ie: just tvz and a martin d35 guitar.
