One of the big issues was that Amir went off the train tracks. At the end--and where else but on WBF would this even be a bone of contention--they had to argue over whether a PM was really private? HUH? People have a certain expectation of privacy. Otherwise they should just post the note on board.
At the end, Amir in his insane bid to try and one up Steve and use other pawns like Mark and I in his battle, publically posted not only PMs but also private emails from moderators to members on the board. Amir saw fit to post over two years old emails taken out of context, long ago settled in his desperate attempt to try and stir up trouble again. I've never seen such an EGREGIOUS breach of ethical practices and confidentiality in my life and that alone should have disqualified him as an admin. Why he is left run around the forum is beyond me and he should be permanently banned.
So what happened when I sent an email to Amir requesting very politely that he take down these posts and I was due an apology? Why should I take them down? And tons more obfuscation. I made it clear from the get go that I didn't want to get involved in their fight but all Amir wanted to argue. (I'm sure Mike or I would have never been in that situation). Finally after several emails, I finally asked Amir point blank, just tell me yes or no, are you going to take the post down? Was it that difficult a question? Is he that dense? So what did Amir do? (that is after he told me how he had always been my friend and looking out for me on the BB; we know that old adage!) He doubled down and posted online the rest of the email that was sent to me before he was deposed.
Steve and the other mods were also cc'd on this email (interesting though everyone was cc'd, Amir only responded to me) and as soon as he found out about Amir's horribly unethical practices, he asked what he could do and also apologized for his fellow admin's actions. As soon as Amir was removed as an admin, Steve immediately took those posts down, no questions asked, inquired if there were any other posts that needed addressing and once again apologized to me. So thanks to Steve for handling that situation like a gentleman.
