Hmmm ... Unfortunately I'm not allowed (yet) to link to a thread dealing with this amplifier.

But on "What's Best Forum" you will find a forum for "Wadia". Find the thread "New Wadia technology - I hope Upgrades will be available", and look closely at the photos of the amplifier.

It is very sad to see Wadia brand will now associated such a product :(

I don't follow. I looked at the pictures. And?

Hi Christian,

I think you need 8 more posts for a total of 10 posts before you can post links and photos.

I will try to explain it without links or photos.

What does a customer expect, if the person is looking at a product from a high-end brand, and the product also have a "high-end" price tag? I assume a high-end product.

The technically designed of this amplifier is very simple, and I see no use of any attractive or costly components. It's standard amplifier modules, and what looks like unknown plastic banana terminals. It seems like the money to this project, has been spent on the purchase of a well-known brand, and the remaining money is used by the design team.

Find a photo on the web (Google: "Devialet inside"). There is HUGE (if not extreme) difference in both the technical design and component. Please note, that Devialet is less expensive, and also tested to sound better than this Wadia.

Thanks. I understand what you're saying. I've only heard great things about Devialet - BUT - I would ask if you have heard the Wadia Intuition?

I have one and I could tell you the sound is amazing.
The banana plugs are isolated in the middle ( they come with the plugs so you can build it your self ) but you can use normal banana speakers cables.
The price tag, yes a little high, but is Wadia Technology.
I want to see a comparison between them to be fair with your analysis.

I believe the Wadia intuition will sound great but I am under the impression that there is no upgrade path for it. It's not a deal breaker if it turns out to be amazing.

I have not heard Intuition 01 yet, as it has not been introduced in my country.

My conclusion is therefore, based on the technical design and component selection, and that don't leaves the Wadia amplifier many points.

I understand what you are saying - but I would reserve judgement until you hear one. I have often prejudged products like the Soulution amps, Wilson Alexia's and countless others. I was convinced I wouldn't like them. Then I heard them and quickly changed my mind. The reverse is true too!

Also, I would keep in mind, that as is often in high end audio, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

I don't know much of it, I will try to get more info.

The Intuition 01 utilizes an innovative implementation of Wadia’s celebrated Digimaster algorithm, the Delta-SigMaster (the original Digimaster was a groundbreaking design created over two decades ago). Delta-SigMaster is a 1.536 MHz upsampling algorithm (FIR 1.200 taps) far superior to standard industry practices, as well as the previous Wadia Delta-Sigma implementation. The ESS 9018 SabreDAC provides the decoding horsepower delivering effortless musical performance

Unfortunately, I don't get the opportunity to listen to the amplifier, as all sales of Wadia products now ends here in my country, due to lack of confidence to the future model programs.

If there is a Fine Sounds distributor in your country, Wadia is available there.
If there is no Fine Sounds distributor, you have no Wadia available there.
Conjecture and speculation have nothing to do with it.
Pretty straightforward actually.
