Von Schweikert

Some of my favorite speakers I sold a few years ago were some of Albert's early creations and what got me hooked on good midrange. Continental Clearfields from when he worked under the Counterpoint Umbrella.

Congrats!

I visited a friend today who not so log ago purchased the VR30's. The version with powered bass. The sound quality was amazing. Coda electronics and Playback Designs DAC.

He has his room treated by GIK, he sent them pictures of his room and they fixed him up. He had the bass dialed in very good to my ears. The speakers had little to no toe in and about 8 feet apart. The sound stage was huge and deep.

I've heard VS at the show a few times but his audition was the best I've heard. Maybe because it was an actual room and not at a show :)

I good go on about how good cymbals were etc. but it probably wouldn't mean much. I would say the VR30's are very good and worthy of their price. If shopping in that level they should be on your audition list.

I've had my Alexx's for around 5 years now .. I think. ... LOL. I really love how they sound ... the best I've ever owned ... That said I recently auditioned the VS Ultra 11's and all I can say is OMG! Now I just need to build a new house with a room to fit them! :-)
