i gotta say the look with the floor color with the wall color and the white trim all go beautifully together. and the speakers look great in there. real nice job!!!!Just to clarify! "I couldn't live with them in my family room". I actually could/would if I had to. As for the decor, I think the speakers would dictate the appropriate furniture, etc.
Thanks Mike. Zanden 6000 Integrated....KT-120 output, 12au7 input. 100 watt.

When was the last time we've seen a bad review? I suppose an argument can be made that there is a ton of good gear out there but I'd like a bit less cheerleading.
For example, I've read several sources state the new Porsche 991 GT3 (while an engineering feat) fails to engage one's spirit as much as the prior 997 iteration (some would argue back to the 993). Wouldn't it be refreshing to read a pro audio review that concludes something similar about the newest and greatest amp?

I have had these G2's for just under two years and I wouldn't trade them for but a few other speakers. I am lucky to have had a dedicated music room for the past five years so cosmetics has never even been a consideration when selecting components. That being said, I don't think I could live with them in my family room.

Agree wholeheartedly. My comment wasn't directed at you specifically; I was just complaining out loud :eyebrow:. I do that a lot even though it doesn't change much.....haha.
Generally speaking, that is the first sign of a great product, one that is pretty damn special. Even when people know it's not for them but still applaud it, is stating a magnitude for me when I'm researching.I'vr never read a bad review of Vivid speakers. I would love the chance to hear them !
He could just say he would pick the speakers to be buried with (or in, depending on size). Now that he said he would pick the Alexia for his retirement, every subsequent review is going to pale by comparison unless he says something similar.
