Vicoustic Panels from Portugal

WaveWood Premiums are 60mm thick. Once you get them up, you want notice it.

Are you going mount them flush to each other or maintain a gap?

I'm open. What do you recommend?

Sounds like you have 60 panels. Great!

I like the flush look personally, as well as grouping alternating product where it is applicable. You may need to get the family involved. Many hands can help you visualise your room. Afterall, you all have to live with it & love it!

Steve,

I think you may have missed the first reflection points on the ceiling ... looks cool though :)

Thanks Adam.... What are your thoughts? You make me question & get the tape measure out again! The 1st OmegaWood is 700mm in front of the front loudspeaker facia. Keeping in mind that the OmegaWood is a convex absorptive & diffusion panel.

I tried a panel directly overhead as well & it really messed things up.

The Lady's going to get annoyed with me again tonight, if I ask her to hold the mirror repetitively again while I sit & look for that tweeter reflection!

I'm just guessing from looking at the picture. Images can be deceptive though ... so if you found the 1st reflection points with a mirror, and then have placed the diffusors directly over them - you are all fine.

Very nice, Mike. Are you hearing a big difference in SQ? Better imaging, wider/deeper soundstage perhaps?

Massive improvement. When people say the room is the most important - they aren't kidding. These treatments were long overdue.

Big thanks to Jeff at AV Solutions for all his help. Jeff isn't just an expert in Turntables. ...he can add acoustic consulting to that resume.

Everything is better focused - especially vocals. That was the first thing I noticed - vocals. When there isn't strong room interaction, the sound is so much more "there". You can hear cymbals much cleaner.

I've only been listening an hour. More later.

Tube traps are next. I'm soooo happy I finally did this. :) :) :) :)

Mike, Your installation turned out fantastic! It really looks fabulous & it's apparent you got some great dealer guidance.

It's true, when a newby comes over & listens here, they are of the opinion that all of this equipment is for & about the emphasis of "voices". But it's really the room which is an extension of your loudspeakers. It just goes to show, what people are typically missing out on when it comes to Hi-Fi.

Tight chest thumping base & those delicate golden & sparkly upper frequencies which ties in that holographic feel, did it for me too.

Vicoustic range are awesome products.

Steve - I'm delighted with how it's sounding and Jeff was invaluable. I can't get over the transformation. Improvements across the board.

Mike - I sure do. I will post some finished pics on a separate thread. I cannot believe how much of a positive transformation this has been.
