so they are finally home . yes in white.lol. never owned a white speaker before, so i figured it was time.
so far i can see that these need some break in. from early this afternoon until this evening, ive either been listening or they were playing. and they got a whole lot better in 5-6 hours. when i first hooked them up i had some brightness and some bass rattle way down low, but that has subsided for the most part, and the brightness went away quickly. im guessing that was due to the snappers not being warmed up and not being turned on in a month.
i cant believe with the large amounts of money the speakers are that ive looked at in the last 3 months, that this is all possible at $3500 retail. i was afraid that after all those speakers this would not be exciting for me. but it really is. i dont even have my turntable yet, and im playing cd's on a $50 cd player(maybe more i dont know) but everything sounds wonderful. these speakers gave me big soundstage right out of the boxes, although i have noticed the sounstage is still moving around a bit. since i only have 5 cd's thats easy to figure out quickly.lol. they pump out pretty deep bass for 2-5" maybe 6" woofers. and they can handle all the highs my hovland can throw at them. and the midrange is a s smooth as silk on everything ive heard.
they are light but knocking on the sides i find them to be insulated well. im going to run them as much as possible until next week when my turntable should arrive, then put em to the real test.while i breakin a cartridge. hopefully i can get 100 hours on them but thats tough since i dont have the remote for the cd player and i cant play on repeat.
im also breaking in some new tubes and a couple power cords, so im sure it will all get even better!!!!
these sound good enough as they are now to maybe make me stop my speaker search for awhile. once the table gets here i can sit back and enjoy the many changes that happened to my system over the last year.
if your in the market for a great value speaker , go hear these. or come here and hear em.lol.

forgot the pics :D

Congrats Steve! The Venere 3.0's are excellent speakers! I bought my Dad a pair and he LOVES them! The trickle down technology is to your advantage. A home run!

I don't often play stuff really loud but this afternoon I was really pushing the snappers and they were clean and tight all day.

Wow! Steve I am soooo happy for you. OMG! They are beautiful. I know they'd be great. They were recommended to me and a friend. I need to hear them.

Tubes rule! Wait until the speakers break in. OMG. You will be in heaven.

. All the credit goes to you on this. I never would of even thought about these unless you pointed me to them. Thank again!!!

Joe I suspect these speakers would sell used in the $2000-2500 range. So that is right in my wheelhouse. I've run at least 15-20 pairs of speakers in that pricerange in the past.
And these un broke in are the best I've heard yet !!!!
And thanks

Their sound and build quality far surpasses their price IMO. If they were priced at $10,000 - $15,000 it would make sense. At $3.5k - its a steal.

Congrats again! They have a really nice shape to them, kinda like baby Aida's! I dig the white and they go perfect with that 5k white rack of yours...

Thanks all !! I put them in close and pointed them right at my ears, since our last listening session at rhapsody I really liked it like that . They are about 9 ft apart and about 7.5-8ft away.
And I'm liking it right there for now

So close I can taste it Jeff!!!!!!! I'm not gonna get much sleep this week.lol

Steve, Congrats ~!!! Your speakers looks so good and I liked what I heard at local shop.

It is like baby Aidas for sure. Enjoy them and I do like in white as well. :)
