Three Must-Have Audio Accessories

1) Loricraft record cleaner. Awesome performance, quiet, and doesn't break a sweat no matter how many records I clean.

2) Jenga blocks under speaker cables. If you get a set of Jenga blocks at a flea market, it's like $5.

3) MoFi inner sleeves. They're my favourites. Low on static, nice quality, and usually fit inside the original inner sleeve, allowing you to keep your originals seamlessly.

MoFi inner sleeves are mandatory!

I believe he was on that other forum which shall go nameless.

Ouch I do not know the ins and outs of what went wrong but to mention the name of the form is forbidden Wow. Well the nameless site is still going but I think those that left certainly left a hole wish it had not gone as it did . Thats all

1. Low limit credit card (to send wife shopping while I listen to Yello at "normal" SPL).
2. Magnifying glass (to read those tiny cyan-on-blue credits on the jewelbox).
3. Ear plugs (for when a friend comes by and wants to see if Mahler sounds different on my 500 Wpc solid-state amp than on his 8 Wpc SET).

Now seriously:
1. A short but powerful flashlight with at least three output levels. I got an Olight with a strong magnet at the back end, it allows me to affix it anywhere and to "fish" tiny parts that fall behind the rack.
2. A cable retriever to... well, retrieve cables that accidentally fall while being changed/cleaned. I made one from a modified BBQ clamp.
3. An ostrich feather dust cleaner to clean dust between component and rack shelves.

Some others that I have but are not as important:
4. SPL meter. Mine is a B&K that can be connected to the computer through USB.
5. Laser distance meter. I got a cheap Chinese model but then I don't need more.
6. 3D level meter. Can be found in any decent hardware shop.

P.S. I did not count the handheld mirror, I guess anyone who is not single has at least a couple of those in the house.

All good ones.

For me: (dust and static are issues in our arid climate)

1. Dry Swiffer cloths to dust any/everything in the rack- they trap the dust rather than spread it around
2. Furutech Destat II to neutralize static on LP's
3. Carbon fiber LP brush
4. Acrylic turntable cover (don't know how anyone gets along without)
5. Clean POWER

5. Clean POWER
Yep, that's always a problem but you can fix it:
1. Buy some uranium from dear old Putin (he's out of cash now that the EU strapped him with economic sanctions).
2. Download "Nuclear Power Plants for Dummies" and build your own.

Alternatively, download "Atomic Bombs for Dummies", build a couple and ask for a meeting with the CEO of your power distribution company. Should work!

I should've put a :D on my power comment but thanks for the ideas .... LOL

No need for :D, I got it and my answer was in the same line.
Actually there are some nice products that can clean the power (even a revolution, just depends what "power" needs cleaning).

P.S. I seldom use smileys, I trust the reader's intelligence.

Costin (iosiP) is a great person with a very elitist sense of humor (I hope I've chose the right word). As you can see in his avatar picture, he has bat-like ears and between them a very advanced microprocessor :D. I feel honored to have met him.
Now, to be on-topic:
1. Furutech FT-SWS (R)
2. Omicron Evolution Gold SE footers
3. Nordost Quasar Points

Thanks a lot iosiP, with that comment the forum is now on the critical watch of Homeland Security and we're all being tracked. And our daily power consumption, running all our various kit, is outside the "norm" so we can expect guns-drawn visits at any time.

If I were to go with your latter suggestion, I might want instead a meeting with the UN, then they could shower me with all kinds of aid so that I might remain calm and not do anything to upset the global community! (UN: What would we have to offer for you to promise not to blow up Portland? Me: a Caliburn turntable might calm me down for a few months. :panic:)

Unfortunately Costin a.k.a. iosiP has passed away yesterday. The news has struck me like a thunder. He was an amazing fella with lots of humor and full of wisdom. Rest in peace! :(

This is so sad. RIP iosiP, Mr. Costin.

Magnifying glasses, Carbon Brush and since I swap wands with carts already aligned and not entire upper arm assemblies like Myles does, a VTF scale.
