One word of warning. If you jump into the Apple world there is no easy way out. They have built in methods to control every aspect of your tech life and do not play nice with anything but Apple.
I personal love Microsoft Surfaces (you know, the one you see on the sidelines at every NFL game). They are a hell of a lot more powerful than any Apple out there. Play very nice with almost any other tech product you own (even somewhat with Apple so long as you don't hand full control over to Apple). My Surface that I use as my Roon control works amazingly well. I also use it to remote in and control my server if I want to do any functions on the server. I have had it for years and it still blows away any iPad you can buy.
So much better than any iPad out there, with amazing service behind their products, and at a fraction of the price of current model Apple products. You have to buy older, obsolete Apples to get deals, and every few years Apple changes their OS with the older products becoming unusable in connecting to newer Apple products. A built in forced upgrade schema.
In my last year of working (before retiring) I replaced all of our engineers Surface with new ones. Their old ones (original Surface 1s) still worked absolute perfect, but at almost ten years old the new ones had a ton more power. These new surfaces became their only computers. One quick USB-C connection and they were instantly hooked to their keyboard, two monitors, the companies network, mice, other USB devices, etc., etc. You simply can not do this with ANY Apple tablet, period... end of story...
Think wisely before jumping into the Apple world when there are amazingly better solutions out there for less than half the price that performs multiple times better (without the HUGE advertising budget that is Apple; remember Steve Jobs knew nothing of technology, he was a marketing wizard; he was a master salesman).
