Too many good reviews for it to be VOODOO. I am looking forward to a great experience...although Paul's IB2is are already sounding pretty sweet.

Question: do you think it would make sense to buy some custom cut marble platforms to place on the IB2i stands...then place the stillpoints between the marble and the speakers? I'm a little afraid of placing the still points on the cross bars of the metal stands.

They work better when they are in direct contact with the speakers .

Send us a photo of your speaker with the stand
 
How they are holding on the stand? If you don't use nothing I recommend you blu tack and that way they are like glue together and that way the Stillpoints would work better on the stand

They are set up with blue tack now. I was thinking a slab of marble or granite that sits on the stands as a solid platform...then the stillpoints, then the speakers......

it just seems weird to have the speakers sitting on $2 blue tack while the stands are sitting on $700 stillpoints...

How about the Still points ultra between speakers and stands plus Marble under the stands idea ? or maple under the speakers and still points under stands. ?
 
Now that I saw a bigger picture of your speakers stands I think you could use the Stillpoints direct to the
Speakers

Does not need to be 2" could be 1"
And you can paint them black so you don't have too many colors, you want your speaker
to have the eye attention and not the base

Mike, the Ultra 5's have 4 more isolation mechanisms in them than the SS's, but, they are not 4 times better. For me, I'd rate the SS's as the sweet spot at 80 - 85%
