StillPoint Ultra 5's

Ok, so what is not to your liking? I was assuming from your avatar & in your system thread that you had them under your DeVores, try them & see waht you think.....
 
I have had great successes with Stillpoints and some that are different but not better per se. Room construction, your stands, acoustics of the room and of course the product itself all interact. There is no magic potion.

My suggestion is that you just need to try them and see what works for you and your room. About the only thing that seems consistent in my reading and experiences is that Wilson speakers love Stillpoints.

I currently have them under my D3s and i'm not sure that they are a good addition. They definitely do the hifi things but I'm pretty sure I lost some of the music expression. I'm getting used to the new sound and after a couple of weeks I'll switch back and see.

+ 1 Thank you Jock. That's EXACTLY how I feel them under my VA Music speakers.

I really really loved them under my CD player but not sure under my speakers. The sounds too much clean(?) or too much digital like (?) for my ears.
 
Update : now I listen it through MC 601's and it's sounds good under my speakers however I do not like them under my speakers when I listen through the tube amps. Weird.

I've been keep listening with the MC601's and it really grows on me now. 20 min ago I took out the still points and sound became messy. Put them back on. It sound darn clean. Hmmm I have to put 275's this evening and see if I still feel the way I felt last time. :)
 
Either way I thought these tweak thing was kind of joke. Well now I learned one thing. It's NOT and I found better result than any upgrade of expensive gears for sure.

Nelson so far I invested $1800 (MSRP) and it's best money I spent in my audio. Two thumbs up. Anybody needs the still points don't hesitate to contact Nelson. excellent guy to deal with.:)

SS to Ultra 5 is not subtle .

Yesterday one of my clients wanted me to make a demo at His house with the Ultra 5 , he bought recently the complete set of SS for a front H/T.

You want to know what happened?

I know they do wonders in my room but I want to see how much Wife approved they are with Art
or photos instead of a black screen
