I can't recommend this highly enough. I'm sitting here and have to pick my jaw up off the ground. Totally remastered and sounds spectacular.

I agree Mike. Bought it for my wife for her birthday and it does sound great. She is a big Frank and Tony Bennett fan.

Went to a record yard sale a few months back and ended up with only two records as I was pushed out of the way several times by dealers descending on the place. I'm not aggressive enough I guess and they are only records for hells sake! Fast forward to about 3 weeks ago when the same guy had the same sale. $1 per record no matter what. I decided to get up early and try again. This time was far different. The guy actually remembered me which was a surprise and gave me first dibs on all boxes and let me have at it. He said, "Oh, I remember you, your the one who kept getting pushed last time." Fortunately, there was only one other casually interested person there at the moment.
Anyway, all his records are in G+ to VG+ condition. I didn't think I would need my little cart, but I did. Here's what I pulled:
Mamas & Papas - Gathering Of Flowers (I have this as a double LP, but this was a box type cover and it's good to have a spare of this one anyway).
Bread - Bread
Bread - Baby I'm A Want You
Bread - Manna
Traffic - The Low spark Of High Heeled Boys (cut out 3D cover version)
The Moody Blues - To Our Childrens Childrens Children
Renaissance - Turn Of The Cards
Joni Mitchell - Clouds
Three Dog Night - Seven Separate Fools (complete with cards and everything - which I did not know about)
James Taylor - One Man Dog
Yes- Tormato
Heart - Little Queen
Neil Young - On The Beach (Hey, it's a Neil Young album)!
Rush - A Farewell To Kings
Neil Young - Decade (If you can believe that and in VG condition and $1!!! This find was unexpected and completely shocking)!

Eric

If the Neil Young is o.k. after the VPI cleaning it is a steal. Bought mine new and just cleaned it and played it again for the first time in almost 30 years. Keeps you from buying a lot of reissues if you like Neil. Wife likes him, I am kind of indifferent. The Moody Blues and JT albums are also keepers if they clean up.

I like Neil, he rocks hard and his heart is in the right place, he tries. I have no doubt that I can increase the condition by at least one full point, that's been the case or better with most of the records I've ever picked up. What really helps is the starting condition (although I've had 2 or 3 full-on surprises as well with a seemingly hopeless condition turning into a VG+). The condition of the two Neil LPs are VG+ to start, so yes, I've got my hands on some real gems! Your right, those Neil LPs, especially Decades, are out-right steals. I almost offered him $5 for the Decades, but he said everything is a dollar and "they are just records". I don't think of albums in monetary terms normally, to me they are for playing. That said though, not only is it hard to find the Decades album (all non-reissue Neil Young albums are somewhat elusive for some reason), but they are also exceedingly pricy when one does find them. I've heard it said that the reissues are pretty good as well, but I don't like buying reissues because I'm picky about what I pick up on vinyl. (I stay in the years when vinyl was king and it's the music I grew up with and I just want it on the original format and prefer the original issue. Besides, hunting used records is the one fun part for me...well that and listening to them).
Love the Moody Blues too. I have gathered lots of Moody Blues LPs. I have a copy of that one, but mine is just not up to par even after 3 cleanings. It's just ok, but I suspect damage. It sounds like it was played on a misaligned table a few times where one side of the groove wall was damaged. It doesn't sound like dirt to me (besides there's no dirt left on it by now, not with my arsenal).
I'll be attacking the records this weekend.

Just picked up this stack this weekend:
Bread = Lost Without Your Love
Renaissance - A Song For A Season
The 5th Dimension - Earthbound
Comp - KRLA 42 Solid Rocks - looks fun and could not resist for $1
Neil Young - Comes A Time
Bread - On The Waters
Petula Clark - Color My World Who Am I
Renaissance - In The Beginning
Renaissance - Scheherazade and Other Stories
Buffalo Springfield - Self Titled
CCR - Willy and the poor boys in fair condition which is hard to find since most CCR LPs are beyond trashed.
Buddy Rich - Both Sides The EmArcy Jazz Series
Tom Jones - Live at Caesars Palace (No idea why I picked this up, but for $1 it might be fun?
Comp-London Collector Series Radio In Store sampler
Deep Purple - Made In Japan
Lighthouse Good Day (Polydor) Not the one I wanted (looking for the first cover),but their stuff is hard to run across as it is.
CCR - Bayou Country Fair cond so hard to find!
The 5th Dimension - The July 5th Album
The 5th Dimension - Living Together, Growing Together
Neil Young - Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere
Looks like I have one more 5th Dimension album to get and will have them all! I wasn't even trying for that, it just happened. Just like it did with Yes, started out wanting one album and somehow I now have something like 14 or 16 of them and will probably end up with 2 or 3 more someday. Similar with The Moody Blues, just bought one album (kind of a greatest hits type thing, but quality), now I have 6 or 7 of their albums..again, had no intention of going that direction, it just happened.
