My wife is on vacation this week so we took a little day trip to a nearby town. I found a sealed copy of World Party - Private Revolution in a second-hand store. It has a hole punch at the upper left hand corner, but perfect otherwise. It's always strange to open vinyl from years ago (in this case 27 years). I feel like it should stay sealed forever like some type of time capsule.

Just picked up today from my library used store: Time Life Great Men of Music: Ludwig Van Beethoven box set. (I hope is not solo piano pieces, but it was only $2 so it don't matter).
Also picked up a sealed copy of Gorden Lightfoot - Endless Wire same price.

Picked up a few of the wonderful FTD Elvis lp releases. Highly recommended

Just picked up a Classical LP box set over the weekend from a thrift store. It's one of those Time-Life jobs. It's the one on Great Masters of Music or something (I don't have it in front of me at the moment). Anyway, it's Beethoven and I've been wondering for a long time what those Time Life records sound like, so soon I will find out. Yes, the records are in VG+ or better condition. They are Classical and that is usually the case, plus being Classical they must be in extremely good condition for me to enjoy Classical music. One crackle and the whole thing is ruined for me. A couple of crackles in rock or pop or whatnot don't bother me. ~Eric

Just hit pay dirt today. Went to my local library last weekend (which is fantastic by the way) and they have a little store where they sell used books and CDs and such. For $5 I picked up the following vinyl records: (My grading system is kind of harsh so conditions listed are likely better than I have listed)
Roger Miller - Golden Hits - Fair condition
Arthur Fiedler Boston Pops - Greatest Hits of the 60s - Fair cond
Marimba Mambo Cha-Cha-Cha, A Study In Hi Fidelity Sound on the Audio Fidelity label - Fair cond. (I told you I like to pick up the occasional obscure record)
The 5th Dimension - Loves,Lines,Angles and Rhymes - Fair cond
Gordon Lightfoot - Endless Wire - Good cond.

Today I went to the local swapmeet and struck gold. For $3 each I picked up:
The 5th Dimension - Live! - Fair cond
Jethro Tull - Living In The Past complete and intact - Fair cond
Joni Mitchell - Ladies Of The Canyon - Fair Cond
The Moody Blues - To Our Childrens Childrens Children - Poor cond
Jefferson Airplane - Early Flight - Fair cond
Jefferson Airplane - Thiry Seconds Over Winterland - Good cond (Very hard to find LP)

I then visited a booth that normally sells books and DVDs very cheap and I always find 3 to 6 items to purchase. Today to my surprise they had boxes and boxes and boxes of vinyl!!! As I looked through every box it was mostly stuff I did not want, but interesting. One of the little asian girls that work there came up to me and said they are $1 each!!!
I picked up:
Gary Puckett & The Union Gap - The Union Gap - Poor cond
Top Star Festival 20 Dynamic Hits 1972 - Fair cond (just for kicks)
Johnny Rivers - Realization - Fair cond (I have no idea what it is and it looks psychedelic and weird so for $1 I had to do it).
Joni Mitchell - Court and Spark - Fair cond
Led Zeppelin - In Thru The Out Door - complete with brown paper bag cover - Good cond (I have not seen a used Led Zep album used anywhere in 3 years, especially in anything but extremely poor condition)
The conditions are as purchased by my harsh grading - after I do my thing with them they usually go up a good two levels or better.
