Hi guys, I was recommended to leave a new post here, I need help in choosing new powerful speakers, the price does not matter, the main thing is to be with a very good sound. If you have any ideas, please leave recommendations here. Thank you !!!

Hi Lisa,

There are many good speakers out there - Magico, Avantgarde, Kharma and several others. But we need more info.

Can you tell us more about your amps, pre-amp, and even the type of music you like to listen to? Also do you have a dedicated room or are these going into a Great Room, etc. What's the size of the room - including the ceiling height? Anything you share can help others be of more assistance in their recommendations.

Hello & welcome to AS. Additional information would help to narrow your options or target your needs.

However, you mentioned "powerful", and good sound, JBL Synthesis or HDI series might be something to look at if I may dare to throw out the first suggestion. JBL uses their Pro drivers for home application, they do sound good and with enough power can get rowdy.

Another important consideration is do you have a preference of stand mounted or floor standing speakers? Do you listen loud or at a more moderate level? What type of music is your preference?

Obviously another important consideration is what are the other components that you are going to be using the speakers with; brands, age, etc. What are your source components, i.e. CD player, digital, record player, streaming only (and if streaming which services do you subscribe to)?

You say price does not matter, but it usually does in some way. Good speakers can be gotten below $1000, some nice ones depending on design preferences at $1500-$2000... but you can spend incredible amounts on speakers.... $10,000; $80,000; $150,000; or even more... so price might be some consideration :).

So far I don't have anything, I buy everything new. Speakers, amplifiers and everything else. The room where everything will be installed is 150 square meters, the ceilings are 2.8m.
All this is going to stand and DJ desk.
For all this joy I have allocated a budget of $ 350,000
So friends what other information you need, I will be glad to answer. Any advice and comments are accepted)) Thank you for your help.

Preferably on a stand and listen, of course, loudly))

What type of room is this going to be? 150 SQ Meters is a big room. As big as many homes in some places.

1,614.5866 Square Feet

My whole 4 bedroom center hall colonial is 2800 SQ Feet total

Standmount speakers in a 1600 square foot room. Uh huh.

A $350,000 budget in this sized room... and listen loud. Might be better to consider a floor standing speaker. I say this even though I am a fan of smaller stand mounted speakers.

What part of the country do you live in Lisa? There are so many possible suggestions at this point that I probably would suggested getting in touch with Mike and maybe try to arrange a visit to his store in Florida. He is one of the few dealers who actually tries to assist in picking out the right components for your personal needs. He also has lots of top notch gear available for looking at and listening to.

The whole house is less than 1,600 sq ft in San Diego. Small stand mounted SF speakers, old CAT preamp, Jadis JA-30 amps, and a Linn LP-12 stuffed into a small room.

I know what you mean. In California many of our houses have much less room :).

My system is in our loft library. 14' x 14' which includes bookshelves, record racks, equipment racks, etc. Stand mount speakers work for me but if I had the sized room that Lisa is talking about then I would definitely lean towards floor standing speakers :).

Magico, KEF Blades, MBL, Avantgarde, etc., depending on her use and preferences of course.

My point is that there is no "Cindy" or "LisaPeters" on this forum.

Ok; not really following what you are saying then. A person (aka LisaPeters, maybe real name or not, who knows, who cares) asks a question, starts a thread. We reply and try to be helpful. I assume the question being asks is a legitimate one and we attempt to give legitimate answers. If in fact "LisaPeters" is truly trying to get a systems at a rather substantial budget and to be installed in a very substantial sized room then I stick by my recommendation to get in touch with Mr. Mike for more individualized assistance.

If you are saying it is a fake account I can't really assume this. Then again, I am rather naïve when comes to people being deceptive. Deception and lying are not in my make up. So I assume when someone starts a thread and asks a question it is a legitimate one.

Sometimes you have to read the questions being asked and understand if any of it really makes sense. If the name of the OP was a man's name, the questions from people responding on this thread would probably have been much different.

I stumbled on the Location being USA but the room was in Meters, and a whole lot of them, just like the money.

Ha! We keep the AC at 72. It’s only when the big freight deliveries come and they drop them outside so I can break down the pallets that we sweat like crazy! But at least in January, we don’t have to freeze to death doing the same.
