Selecting new speakers

I'm sorry for your misfortune. Life can be tough and then tougher.
There is a company making audio cables using carbon conductors. That might be what is in your cable. Mystery to me. I used silver plated OFC wire for my digital but never used silver plated wire for any other cables.
I have Schiit Gungnir DAC, an Audiolab CDT 6000 transport. A Schiit Freya+ pre amp and two Aegir class A amps in mono. No TT.
Blue sound Node 2i Rel 5ti sub. I also have a spare set of JBL HDI 1600 speakers and also made a set of CSS smaller P215 speakers. I use Audience Ohno ICs and speaker cable. Also Kimber 12 speaker cables. My digital cable is a Kimber D60.

Stagger thanks for the rundown on your audio system! And please don't feel bad for me, plenty of people have it a lot worse off than I do. I was simply attempting, perhaps poorly, to explain that health, more than years, is what ages us. You seem like a really nice person like Randy Myers and a couple of others I've chatted with here! Great guys, great audio forum...

I'm not listening to anything.
