Norman, thank you for your condolences and reminder to be positive and stay strong. I know Mum will be looking down on me and want me to be happy.

David...I just saw this. Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family. I lost both my parents in the past 6 years and it is a loss that will be felt forever but hopefully the loving memories you carry in your heart of your Mum will keep her close to you always. I am sorry she had to suffer through CJD.

David, my condolences. May your Mum rest in peace. Hope everything is OK after the grief. I lost mine years ago and still think of her everyday.

Cyril, thank you for your very kind words and condolences. As someone who has gone through what i'm experiencing, I appreciate your advice all the more. I was very close to my mum, so losing her has been hard. Still I promise to live by the values she taught me & visit her memorial site often. I also plan to have some nice photos of her framed so she is remembered.

Thanks for your condolences Charles, and Amen. Yes it's a tough time right now for our family, especially Dad. I got to spend a lot of quality time with Mum in the last 15 years incl: going away on trips, and visited her often in the hospice, so I feel like i've loved my Mum with all my heart and have no regrets. It's just the coming to terms with her loss which will take time..

Last Friday our family and friends celebrated the life of your my dear mum. It was a very moving celebration of the life of a wonderful women who was loved by all who knew her, most especially her husband, children and grandchildren. Although we are grieving her loss, It is comforting to know that Mum will be looking down on us with love and tenderness .

Those are warm and wise words Dan. I really feel that applies to my Mum as her love and kindness had an indelible impact on my life. I will never forget her.

David and Dan,
my most sincere condolences, may God bless and support you!

Doug, thank you for your condolences and blessing which are most appreciated during this difficult time :cryforjoy:.

I hate to open this thread again, but last night our yellow Lab Willow passed away.

This wonderful dog has been with us since the second she was born 14.5 years ago.

Here's a picture of her taken two weeks ago with our granddaughter:

I did get some good news today, my friend John, an expert wood worker completed the box (Koa and Purple Heart wood) for my wife's ashes:

Oh dear Dan, you've had a rough trot. We both have. Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your much loved pet. Labridores are very loving dogs, so I can imagine how her loss must be felt. I will say a prayer for you. What was your dog's name?

On a brighter note, your friend has done a brilliant job crafting a beautiful box for your wife's ashes. I am sure that will help you remember your wife fondly.

So sorry to hear Dan. Pets are part of the family.
