Record cleaning machines

I own both and prefer the KL. My AD is going back to Germany for ultrasonic transducer repair. I think I may sell it when it returns by the end of February I would imagine. It will still have 5 mos. of transferable warranty.

Thanks for your thoughts. I still have my VPI 16.5. I've been waiting to see who rises to the top when it comes to ultrasonic record cleaners.

Mark,
You will say the same thing that I said: WHY I WAITED THAT LONG !!
Is not cheap but our toys aren't , right ?

My issue with AD is reliability. This is it's second trip to Germany for repair. It too soon to tell but based on fewer moving parts and build quality, I expect years of trouble free cleaning with the KL. The ultrasonic action of the KL is much stronger than the AD. 200 watt versus 50 watt transducers.

Yes you don't want to get into same situation that some did several years ago with a well known cartridge. The running joke was you needed to buy two so you had one working unit while the other one was being fixed :(

My eco friendly record cleaning machine - Uses no electricity but maintenance is EXPENSIVE...and if you don't think that motor is ULTRA SONIC...You are dead...LOL
