Pre-amp/DAC for JOB 225

Do we know for sure if it has just one set of outputs? I sure would like to see two sets of outputs, but I guess that would be an easy fix.

Yes.

This is a disappointment to me, too. I prefer connecting subs at line-level, not speaker-level.

But, then again, the PRE2 is $1700, not $7000, or whatever the most inexpensive Goldmund preamp costs.

I am afraid you would lose 3db or about half of your power by splitting the signal that way opposed to doing it internally. Can someone a little sharper than me confirm or dispute this?

Got email from JOB of specs for the Pre2,

Unable to post the link but the details are on Wizard's blog (with pictures) - basic remote with volume control and mute. Extract below:

Goldmund's budget division which packages their core circuits in basic
threads and scaled-down features have released the matching preamp to their
popular Job 225 stereo amp.

With 3 RCA inputs, 1 RCA output and basic volume control, the Job Pre2
built in Goldmund's Geneva factory is available now for $1699 delivered to
nearly anywhere in the world, all customs and shipping fees included (Spain
and Portugal excepted due to shipper restrictions and Australians must add a
small import tax upon delivery).

Thank Joe, I listened to the JOB 225 with goldmund metis preamp, it was a beautiful match , but as the JOB 225 he was very sensitive to the quality of the power cord.I think taking a TWL10+, the sweetcord socket is curiously not compatible with European plugs...

Yup the Sweetcord is ONLY US compatible. You HAVE to buy an adapter to use it.

I thought rather to change if it is possible the plug, I don't know if it's glued or screwed ?

No, better an adapter. I dont know where the small AC-Curator is located!!!!!

They told me to use an adapter.
