Okay..I need an APPLE lovers help - lord help me

I figured that after Rob posted that. I didn't know if they had some kind of Apple DRM in them that only allowed you to use them with iTunes. It seems like a pretty decent deal.

Yep, it's fair. And really convenient if you own a lot of Apple devices and travel a lot.

Yes, but the best part...you don't NEED apple devices. They are just DRM free music files that play on any PC...Mine will be loaded to my surface tablet and supercede the XBOX music 192kbps files. So if I already have it, I get the better256kbps sound, if not then I listen to the 192kbps ..but my dull mp3's,,,pfft..Gone...

And they are mine forever (as they should be since I bought them legally)

Put them on my surface music folder, the music player automatically recognized them as part of my collection...whooo hoo...So now I am processing another batch in ITunes and ordered a 64gb micro sd to keep them on so I don't clog the C drive ,,,I have a process that adds the microsd to the library so no issues there :-)

It really works, I have 25k songs in my iCloud and all my music is automatically updated to AAC 256kbks

Apple rules !!!

Well, even a broken clock is right twice a day...LOL

Rob - iTunes Match is just a tiny taste of the great usability of Apple products. I know you'll probably never come over to the dark side....but at least you are happy with your Apple experience.....oh, and it just works (had to say it)!! :)

I'll admit Office rules...:)

If they ever get a decent version of Quicken for the Mac, I can retire my last Windows PC once and for all...

What kind of books do you read Rob?
wow...that's a tough question...I have been reading since I was 3 and come from a heavy reading family...I like SF, Mystery, Detective, mob books, horror but also go on runs ..for example...If I read Vampire novels I will read 30. If I am reading about ancient rome, could be 20 to 30...

I do prefer historical in a fictionalized setting (not dry history reading though have read much there..will read if its say about the mob or something less dry...yet I read all of Shelby Footes Civil War books - they don't get much bigger or detailed than those..lol

My toughest read (and it is strange) I have trouble associating with female authors or female main character. Not exclusively..but in general..yet loved Ann Rice books...

Asking me what kind of books I read is like asking if there are any books in that library...LOL..I read every single day..

Have you ever read the "alternate history" books ? there is a good series based on the SOUTH winning the war...pretty cool.

But like I said, may tastes have varied. I always come back to science fiction but the funny thing is, the science fiction I read as a youth (and watched) is really science fact today in so many cases.

One of the great alternative history authors...Harry Turtledove (I kid you not...lol)

Anyway, back to our previously scheduled broadcast....:exciting:

Oh wait, I do want to point this out. RIF. Reading is fundamental, right ? There is no truer statement than this. I have received no greater education than what I have gained from the world of books. Fact or fiction, they exposed me to things that no ongoing college education could ever match. My wife often asks me, how do I know answers to such obscure things - anything - it could be about Egypt or about DNA. I tell her simply, "lifelong reading".

Hey kids, stay in school, read and don't do drugs...at least the non-prescription kind....LOL
