NORDOST ODIN CABLES , Wow!!!!!

So I listened to a mix of vinyl, 15 ips Reel tape and digital until 4:00 AM. I then put a CD on repeat with the volume up a bit until just an hour ago. I have to admit, the cables have come a long way since last night. The MIT and Odin are very similar in tonal balance (so far)...both being very neutral. My initial impressions...Odin seems to have a bit more hard edge on the bass (a good thing for my well damped room) and a bit more presence in the high frequency range. Detail retrieval is very similar. This can of course change with more time, but I am seeing myself more likely to keep the Odin and perhaps sell the MIT. That's it for now.

Chris, you've had the Odin speaker cables running for a few days now, how about an update?

He's likely too busy enjoying and listening, revisiting all his music and hearing such for the first time all over again. I know with the addition of my new Stealth Audio Royale speaker cables that's what I'm doing, it's pretty amazing! All the sudden I'm hearing information that I never even knew was there, or could barely make out but now it's there and clear. I've always chuckled when reading some suggesting cables don't make a difference.

I would like see some direct comparison, these Stealth cables are a must hear and I give two thumbs up.

I haven't quite collected all my thoughts on the differences yet, but I did let my dealer know that I am keeping them. That said, both speaker cables are world class. The main difference I hear so far is that the Odin is more extended from the upper mids through treble range. This is good for my well damped room. Bigger/Livelier rooms may prefer the balance of MIT. Bass is pretty similar between the two. The Odin overall has a bit more air, the soundstage blooms a bit more and the central image is a bit more in your face like you are sitting a little closer to the performance. I would call Odin's presentation a bit more rowdy for lack of a better expression. I could easily remain happy with the MIT, but for my system/room Odin has the edge for my preferences. I still think they need a little more time to settle. I will share more thoughts as time goes by.

Congrats to both of you. For me, being a big Transparent fan, I look forward to the day I make a similar move to Opus...in the meantime, again congrats to you both...reference cables from reference cable names.
