Magico S5 mk2

They should change the S7's flat to ASAP to match the S1mk2/S5mk2 looks. The later look much more modern/nicer.

Substantially better looking than the "Mk1". Very nice photos. It seems that Magico is becoming more mature in design

Mark now has the castors off, spikes on and set in proper position. Apparently they're sounding beautiful :audiophile:

I bet the S5mk2 will be killer good with the right amps.
I can't wait to hear my friend's pair when they arrive. I've been roped in to help him set them up, but lunch and premium beer are on him! :hungry: The combo of his Vitus Signature components and the newer S5's should be glorious. I'm just lucky that I get to live vicariously through my buddy. Still i'm saving my pennies & might one day try to find a pair of Maggie 3.7's at the right price & drive them with something like a refurbed/upgraded McCormack DNA500 & old CJ pre. Sorry for the threadjack btw.. .

Tom,

I am so looking forward to your opinion. I am getting the feeling that the S5mk2 could be THE Magicos to get. Price vs performance will be stellar. I am not in the market for new speakers but I'd seriously have to give these consideration. My friend and I heard the original S1 and S5 with Viva SET gear and were astonished with what we heard, and still talk about that demo to this day. I am afraid, very afraid of hearing the new speakers.

For sure  My friend David said more or less the same thing in his preview of the S5 mk2's - http://forum.polkaudio.com/discussion/172109/magico-s5-mk2-speakers. From what I understand, he plans keep his pair for 10+ yrs. The Magicos do seem to benefit from a bit of warmth and tubes, or tube-like ss amps in the mix.
