Magico M7 announced?

Whatever it is. Their marketing is working. At least amongst us...quite a stir

At least 10 of us going to Axpona...we could form a posse and corner Alon for information.

Let's do it! But I still think some classic WWE moves on Peter is our best bet.

In my experience most guys break when shown a Yoko Ono album, the really really tough ones break before the first song is over...just offering another perspective :P

Brilliant idea.

Here is the latest teaser from Magico! Note the obvious reference "CF", pointing to the adoption of a carbon fiber midrange enclosure. The use of carbon fiber in this application it should be noted would be a first for Magico, but has been in common use by Wilson Benesch for some time.

My bet is still on a new flagship speaker, but I could be wrong :dunno:

The enclosure looks a bit like the B&W tweeter enclosure, so why not a tweeter enclosure. This one lacks the roundness of the midrange enclosures in S3 1+2, S5 2 and M3.

I can't see a speaker larger than the M3 being supported by only 3 MPods on that new base. The bracing also looks minimal with very few hasteners on the back plate. To me, this looks like a small floor stander. I agree with madfloyd that if that top enclosure is for a midrange, it would be a tall speaker because the tweeter is always around 41" off the floor. However, there my be room above that for the tweeter and it is just hidden my that CF enclosure.

Looks like the gold trim piece of the q7. So I would guess it's IS the m7.

Good points by Kuoppis and PeterA. If the top enclosure is for a tweeter that totally changes the height, making it a small floorstander.

It's fun guessing!

I'm still thinking M2. MPro and Q7 use 4-point out triggers and this one will have tripods. Magico is probably thinking a best seller rather than another assault on the state of the art design.

A smaller M series would be fun, a new stand-mounter really exciting. Paired with good subs that would get the party started.

Yep. I'm rooting for M2. [emoji57] Priced at half of M3 price.

If its a tall slender speaker it would explain the forward tilt on the base. Directing the high frequencies down toward the listening area.

I think this is a S3 like speaker that's taller. Would not anything the size or weight of a Q7 sitting on that small base.
