Hi folks, Magico just posted this teaser on their FB page . My bet it is it will be a new model in the M range. On face value a replacement for the discontinued Q5 seems like the obvious candidate (being one of the oldest Q series models), perhaps similar in design to the M Pro. But given Magico recently published detailed design and assembly instructions for the Q7, the upcoming release of the $300k Vandersteen Model 9 & the fact that Alon is very protective of the M Pro and their owners, my guess is a new flagship M7 to replace the Q7 Mk2.

The other (slim) possibility is Magico releasing an awesome M series stand mount to replace the Q1, though I don't see a huge demand for an ultra high end stand mount, hence I think that's less likely at this stage. What do you guys think?

I would expect the M5 to come out next and the M7 to come out last. The M5 will cost less, so they'll be able to sell more of them. They already have an updated Q7 with the Q7 Mk2.

Best,
Ken

My GUESS is M5. Hence the "05"

You could be right, though I thought given the factors I referred to above, all points on the compass seem to be pointing to a new flagship M7. Though it would be fun to see the '5' take a quantum leap into the M series :audiophile:.

I'm hoping for a M1 in a tower format like the S1 in the S series.
I'd personally like to see a serious effort to design an M series stand mount like the Wilson Benesch Endeavour. That concept would be an awesome match with the Q Sub 15's,

The stand mounts are due, but I set my bet on a Q5 replacement, i.e. M5 with the ability to move more air than the M3.

As heard on this forum there currently is a gap in the top end, with an LS able to fill a large room. And the Q7 got an update not too long ago.

I'm thinking the 05.2017 means a May 2017 intro of their new speaker model. I do think it will be the M5. This is the gap in their line they need to fill. I bet the M5 will have beaucoup bass like the M-Project.

Best,
Ken

Peter will be very happy if it is M2. [emoji4]

Personally I think most likely scenario is M5. The question will be if the technology advancement that made since MPro really warrants another speaker very similar to MPro.

I'm unmoved and think Magico will roll the dice and wow the high end community with a new flagship to replace the Q7 Mk2. Another reason to delay an M5 is so sales of the M3 aren't hurt. Besides that, I'm getting better odds on an M7 ;).

I´m thinking of a Magico Penultimate since there´s a big gap between the Q7 MK II and the Ultimate 3 :)

I think it could be a Signature Model. As seen on the picture Alon has put his signature on it.

It may also be the S7 mk 2, with a convex top (the S7 is the last flat topped speaker in the whole S-lineup left, still in mk 1 form) and graphene reinforced woofers.

Though the S7 has only been in production for 21 months & is still a better sounding speaker overall than the S5 Mk2. My guess is an S7 Mk2 will be slated for no earlier than Munich, 2018 with the M series being filled out in the interim.
