Look better than the S7, and only $15K more. I suspected the M Project was going to be the start of the Q replacement line.

Wow, pretty amazing! Those in the market for the S7 should just keep saving, in my opinion. Can't wait to see the M5 and M7!

I think you're right Bud, about the Q replacement and IMO they have a GREAT look. But I don't know that I'd take them over a pair of s7's and a sweet turntable for 75k [emoji57]. Same tweeter as the s7 only 2mm larger, same mid as s5mk2, and what looks to be a new 7" complete graphene bass driver. S7's do take up some real estate but look sexy in orange!! Doubt they will have colors available either with the carbon fiber sides.

Don't get me wrong I'd give them a whirl in my room [emoji28]

The S7(M-Cast) is $58K.

$75K-$58K= $17K.

BTW- It's $28,350. more than the Q3 and $15K more than the discontinued Q5 (there's a pair on Agon for $29K.)

Recommended max power is 500W, which is half that of S5MkII. However it is 3 db more sensitive (91 vs 88).

The certainly look fabulous, especially in comparison to the fugly S series.

More in line with the classy looking Q series.

Looks very nice. Not clear of the product placement within the Magico line.

Look stunning, come with all the candy and are available to anyone, mean move [emoji83].

But in my book a woofer is a membrane 8" upwards, anything below does not provide a full enough sound. They measure 24 Hz on the bottom end, but that can be reached in many ways. The too small woofers were also the problem root causes with the Q3s.

Well, sounds like the Magico M5 will be more your cup of tea. :)

Ken

Wow, those are stunning. I feel all tingley. How will the tweeter be different than the S5 mkii? Do we have a read on that yet?

Mike or Mark Jones ought to be able to chime in. It's the same tweeter as the s7...just up to 28mm from 26mm. They have both had either the s5mk2 or s1mk2 up and running for weeks now.

Guys - the tweeter in the M3 is the same as the M-Project. The tweeter in the S-7 is distilled from the M-Project and has the same diamond coated beryllium dome with a different motor system.

In my opinion, the M Project tweeter and the trickle down from that in the S7/S5mk2/S1mk2 are absolutely phenomenal. Smooth, detailed, natural.

So Mike is it the same or better than the S series per Magico. I would guess the "distilled" terminology implies the baby brother is same technology but not quite the same level. Is this correct?

Similar but not the same. Trickle down for sure.
