Magico M????

M2? I'm curious to see what the base looks like. It looks smaller than the M3 with only two woofers. Sort of like the S3 Mk2. It looks great, but it may be very expensiv. I'm guessing $50K+ because the M3 is now close to $90K with the M Pods.

My guess is M3, similar to S3 mk2.

Of course it does, my bad. Thanks for pointing that out.

Reformulation: M2 with a S3 mk2 configuration.

I don’t know any more about it than you guys, but it sure looks beautiful. Love the back shape.

Of course they are about to announce a new speaker....it's because they know I just bought M3 :weird:

Don’t worry. M3 I’m sure remains above it in the line (based on what I can see on the video). I absolutely love my M3’s (two years and counting). I consider it in the top 5 speakers under $100K. Absolutely incredible.

The sensible thing would be M2 with S3 configuration using the same drivers as M3 and priced at $55K. M6-like tri-pod, perhaps.

Hi Brodric,

They look like M3 Mk2’s. That’s really unfortunate for you.

Just kidding buddy.;)

Enjoy those terrific new speakers!

The very narrow, tapered back is pretty cool looking. It will be interesting to see if the base is a tripod like the M6 or something else. Being that narrow, it will need a very stable base to keep it from tipping over.

It clearly looks smaller than the M3 because of the two woofers instead of three woofers. The next question is if they develop an M1, will it be a monitor on a stand or a floor stander like the S1. And will it have a tweeter plus one mid/woofer driver or a tweeter plus one mid and one woofer?

The M series seems to have smaller but more drivers than the S series (M3 v. S3) And the price difference is huge. Do they sound that different? Has anyone compared the S5 Mk2 directly to the M3? How do they sound different?

Yes, that's why I was thinking M6 like tri-pod (instead of 4 spikes)...dealer confirms it's the model below M3.

I have. The S5 mk2 is a very good speaker. It has deep bass, plays loud, and really is a super all around speaker. It also plays in large rooms. The M3 is more refined. More articulate in the bass. Sweeter in the highs and simply, more coherent, but it’s also double the price of the S5 mk2. In the S series, the S7’s seems to be the forgotten one. It’s really like the S5 mk2 on steroids and also terrific.

Thanks Mike. I can't help but think of the differences between the X and XA series of Pass amps: two lines for different tastes.
