Magico Announces the A3 Loudspeaker

Hello everyone!

We went and listened to the pre-production speakers, and I am very impressed! The A3 is a really excellent speaker at it's price point. Compared with several other speakers in the sub $15k range, it is fenomenal.

For me, I very much like the realism, natural presentation and clear, controlled bass of the A3. If you are thinking of buying any speaker in this price range, you should wait a few months and listen to this one. Very exciting!

As a side note, it looks better in person than it does in the photos.

thanks,

as a Magico dealer you have to say that, regardless of how it sounded compared to a S3 :D

Oh boy, now it’s your turn to chill. You start to sound like a broken record.

Have you actually heard any of them?

Maybe Magico are shooting themselves in the foot with A3...if it's as good as mentioned at #62 it might impact S1Mk2/S3Mk2 sales.

I pre-ordered a A3, and hoping it's great. Prior the A3 announcement, I was contemplating S3MKll. I highly doubt it's three times better than A3, as it's price is. If I don't like it, I'll immediately sell it. Siltech

Is any of your Siltech cables three times better than other cables that are a third of the price?

I'm looking forward setting up the 10K speakers. I love Siltech cables, especially Royal Sig.

Was there an embargo on you taking photos of the new speaker? Or you just forgot to take your camera/phone that day?

I did not have a proper camera with me on that day, and my camera phone camera is cracked (don't worry, I got a new phone over the holidays!). I will grab some shots next time I see the speakers!

Ok my question is where to buy these? I know they are not out yet. But are any of you dealers of these?

You can pre-order with any dealer. Just give a deposit, and you'll get them ahead of most people. I live in Toronto, and pre-ordered a pair. Siltech

From SoundGlobal-

When Alon was giving me his shopping list of what the A3 had to have for it to “still be a Magico,” he added one thing at the end that I haven’t mentioned yet -- that it had to sound better than any speaker at that price from any manufacturer, no matter if that manufacturer happened to be five, ten, or 100 times Magico’s size. In many ways, this is a brand-new world for Magico, because they’re not just up against boutique speaker makers anymore -- they are competing against the world’s speaker-manufacturing powerhouses, many of which have been making sub-$10,000 speakers for decades and know how to make them sound good.

Good point, going up against Dynaudio,PSB and B&W.
