When you start customizing, it gets much more expensive --> fast. Buy supplies in bulk....stick to one color....

I'm not saying it won't happen in the future, but right now it's black. Frankly, that's the most popular by a long shot anyway.

I think it really comes down to your personal taste and associated gear. These are really two different speakers although they are similar in specs 3 way and Magico is a few thousand less.

Rest assured the A3 will, objectively, be a better speaker. I don’t see Magico putting out a basic Scan-Speak kit and getting away with that, Magico fans are quite demanding ;)
The speaker you want to compare it with is the Focal Sopra, that is a worthy contender, albeit more expensive then the A3.

I just ordered a pair of Magico A3 speakers. I'm told March 2018. Being Magico, and this price point, they'll probably be GREAT. Siltech

depends how they voice the speaker. the specs are that it is pretty much a full range speaker. that up front gives it more bass extension than the S1 and S3.

I pressed “like”, but did not mean it - unfortunately I cannot erase it. But point my is, I absolutely and fundamentally do not agree.

2 mHz in the written specs in the low end should make the A3 a better speaker? You are a smart and knowledgeable person related to hi-end audio, but that statement is just outright nuts [emoji3]. Pls have a look at the overall driver specs.

Sorry, I do not mean to offend but I just have to say it in all friendliness.

There is no way the A3 will better the S3 mk2, but under $10k, it’s the real deal. Aluminum cabinet, great drivers, sealed cabinet for easy room integration, etc. The companies building speakers under $10k, just made a big gulp.

Well, maybe not better than the S3Mk2 since it has the newest drivers but how about that obsolete S5Mk2? :fingers::fingers::fingers::fingers:
