For $9800/pair, this speaker will set a new standard for performance below $10k. A true Magico speaker through and through for $9800/pair. AWESOME!!!

I’ve ordered the first two pairs.

WOW! This is a perfect high end/high performance speaker built in the USA (I assume?) at the right price and at the right time. This will bring new and younger audio customers into high end and now into the Magico brand.

This will be their best seller by far.

Wilson and YG are you listening?

DEFINITELY built in the USA.

Alon is so excited about this product, you have no idea. He kept saying “and it’s a true Magico through and through”. The tweeter is the same SIZE (28mm) as the M Pro/Q7 mk2. Graphene woofers. Aluminum frame. Amazing!!

Specs are great too.

Good to hear its built in the USA. Looks like you get the diamond tweeter when you step up to the S line but, still at this price for a Magico...

Frankly, I think their high end US speaker competitors (Wilson and YG) have to eventually build an answer to the A. The Sabrina is 16K and sounds colored next to a Magico and YG. YG is starting at 24K wow ..

Good for Alon and the team at Magico.

it's closest compeitor may just be the rest of the Magico line with similar Performance ...

With those specifications and price point Magico will need a bigger production facility to keep up with the demand for these.

As I stated before, Magico is about to wade through a crowded market of PSBs, Monitors, Dyanudios and B&Ws. Wander at what price point the bookshelf will be? I am guessing at $5K (same as Dynaudio Confidence 20).

Can't wait to demo, smart business move on Magico's part. Hope they have the production capacity to handle the volume that 's sure to come.

Great use of paid for R&D Q technology.

Very interesting, can't wait to hear what he can do at this price point.

Mike,
This will be amazing for the audiophile community and Magico. It brings Magico within reach to many more people. With its driver combination I do see it taking it a significant bite into the sales of the S1.
Looking forward to its release!

This is seriously cool, anyone noticed the 22 Hz on the bottom end - impressive.

Mike, please me there are bookshelf speakers from the A range in the making...

I never take speaker specifications seriously, and what is missing is how many dB down the A3 will be when it's reproducing 22 Hz. My NOLA KOs claim "effective" response to 25 Hz. I don't know what the hell "effective" means in this application, but I can promise you that any bass response from the KOs at 25 Hz is many, many, many dBs down from flat.

Doesn't this pic remind you of the original S1?

I wonder how it compares to S3 mk1. Seems awfully close to S3 except the cabinet shape. I agree it's a nice move by Magico to offer these techs at less than $10k.

- no diamond coated beryllium tweeter (pure beryllium)
- no graphene woofers (nano-tec)
- no mention of the midrange enclosure

Good point on midrange enclosure. I think S3 mk1's tweeter is also pure beryllium and not diamond coated.
