Lumin D1 incoming!

After discussing my wants / needs with Mike a couple of times this past month, I'm now jumping in to the digital pool with the D1 and Sbooster PSU.

I'm pretty excited to hear what all this Lumin talk is about! :exciting:

Excellent Mike. I love the vinyl sounds quality as much as you do however it's nice to have a digital for convenience and these days they do sounds very very good too. :) enjoy it.

Congratulations MikeCh. I have one and you will LOVE it.


I love the AirPlay feature too. Anything you play on a Macintosh computer or iPad can be streamed to the Lumin.
 
Mike,

Give the D1 some time to break in. At least 100+ hours. Play it 24x7 for a week or two and enjoy!

Congratulations on your purchase. When burning in the D1 and the Sbooster, try to have music of different sampling rates in the playlist and turn on the repeat mode.

I have not read much about Sbooster but I did receive a very positive feedback of it from a D1 user before. I hope you'll like this combo.
 
Excellent choice Mike. I have one with the Booster. The D1 is a great piece. It may be the best bargain in digital audio. Great sound and the interface is as good as it gets. If you use a 2 terabyte USB drive, it will be plug and play.

wklie, Thanks for the advice on running lots of various formats / sample rates. I went out and found this site for some free downloads, not sure if this is old hat but thought I'd share the link anyway:

Thanks Marty. I'm still thinking that the Gustard X20U is in the cards too for the other system at some point. Need to determine how far down this rabbit hole I want to venture :D
 
Congrats on the Lumin Mike :congrats: I absolutely love mine! I never even think about replacing it with something else.
