Yes, AL has the Elrog 300b and they are his favs.

I think Elrog 300b, EML Anniversary Globesand 101Ds (WE and replicas) and then 6A3 are his order of preference.

I am hearing good things about the EML mesh plate too.


BTW, the caps are either Jupiter or Duelunds in the B7, so you are good either way.

My original plan was to get the DSD only Lampi after I received my Berkeley Ref DAC. I am still waiting for it and hope to have that by the end of next month. 6 months and no Berkeley, that's criminal in my book.

Wow, that's a long wait, Joe. There must be a huge backlog on the Berkeley Ref DAC. So, are you getting the balanced Big 7 with PCM and DSD?

I was told probably 3 months but have since found out Berkeley was bumping smaller dealers if others ordered 10 or more. So now the wait grows to 6 months and I am not even sure if that will change.

Not sure what the best caps are, maybe Fred or someone else can join in and explain the difference.

I think there was originally a case supply problem from another supplier. Now I think the backlog has grown.

Joe, a Bal B7 to go with the Bal 211 amps???? WOW..That will be impressive.

The key to the server will be Win10, not Win2012 and you MUST get a Regen device with it too.


Lukasz and Geoff (Sound Galleries-Monaco) will be offering similar Servers in the future...so look out for that.

It is Edward and Geoff (Sound Galleries-Monaco) who are creating the Music server. Lukasz is not involved in this project.
