heres some perspectives. im real interested in these . but im not sure if im ready for floorstanders yet. from the couple people i spoke to who have experiece with these and the pulsars, its the normal give and take, of monitors to floorstanders. pulsars image a little better, and perspectives go a little deeper. but according to both people the sounstage is huge on both.

Impedance: 8 ohms nominal, 6 ohms minimum.

System impedance indicates whether the speaker presents a "hard" or "easy" load on the amplifier. True 8 ohm speakers are less amplifier and cable sensitive, and partner well with a broader range of amplifiers, including tube designs.

Crossovers: Asymmetrical Infinite Slope Crossover at 2 kHz.

Constructed of specially selected components, Each individual network is precisely adjusted, resulting in a virtually perfect match to the original prototype.

The steep filter slopes ensure good acoustical behavior in the crossover regions, with a minimum of acoustical interference, along with low distortion and wide dynamic range. Driver acoustic responses are in-phase throughout the crossover regions.

Frequency Response:

The Perspective delivers a very smooth and even response over a very broad listening window. Unlike conventional low order crossover designs, the speaker retains its sonic balance over a wide angle both vertically and horizontally. This results in a higher level of fidelity than a simple on axis measurement can reveal.

Listening window response: 2dB from 35 Hz to 20 kHz.

Dimensions and weight: 36" (915 mm) H x 8.5" (216 mm) W x 13" (330 mm) D.

Shipping weight approx 81 lbs. (37.6 kg) Each & approx 20 lbs (9.07 kg)for the stands.

SPECIFICATIONS
Specifications cannot properly describe the ecstatic experience that awaits you when you sit down to listen to your favorite music through a pair of Joseph Audio speakers.

Every time I've heard a pair of JA speakers it was a very pleasant experience.

me too, years a go i owned the rm22's and was going to trade for the rm 25's but something else grabbed my attention.

They are beautiful for sure. Either by necessity or just past experience, nothing beats a great monitor in most areas. If you are not ready for a floor stander, than that's the answer. I have not heard either but would love the Pulsars.

I see what you're saying here Joe. My view is this: once you put the monitors on stands they will take up as much space as the floor standers. So I would go with the Perspectives. YMMV of course...

+1

good speakers. Perspective is my choice. Haven't heard the monitors. Don't recommend the Pearls too many better speakers at that price point. If you are looking for floor standers you may want to hear Dynaudio C2 or if you have a big room C4 they are fantastic. If monitors I would listen to Raidho D1.

Steve...if you have not already, P< Jeff at A/V Solutions, as he carries the line and I believe he has both the Pulsars and the Perspectives in his audio room, so I am sure he can share his perspective on the pros and cons of each, etc...

Yes Cyril thank you, he's one of the ones I mentioned above . And has been a great advisor for me since he has both these speakers and snappers in his room. I might have to fly out there and listen to both . Choosing speakers is a very hard process. I want to get it right so all I have to do is worry about cartridges and tables in the future. Haha!!

pardon the pun

Well I pm'ed mike and asked if he had the chance during hiss trip to please check out the perspectives.
He sent me a message saying this.

"Heard them all today. Excellent for the money. Tweeter lacks sparkle IMO. Sound a little rolled off. Bass is very well defined. Excellent value."

Of course I expected a speaker that can be had for under $10k to not be perfect.
Excellent value was the most important part of his statement to me.
I've got awhile before I purchase speakers and I will continue to look in this pricerange.
Any suggestions that would work with a pair of 100w tube amps would be greatly appreciated.
But as of now, these and still the pulsars are still on top of my list.
Thank you for the help Mike!!

I ve enjoyed my Nola KOs and think they fall within the range .
