Ha!

Norman. I'm sorry I had Nelson on the brain.

Funny I wasn't interested in a job, until yesterday. After hearing the goldmund now I am.
Would be a great addition to my tube amps, and give me another option for a reasonable price.

Steve,

It is simply amazing and sounds a lot like the Goldmund 280 that we heard yesterday.

Wow...like a Goldmund 280 that cost x10....can't wait to get my hands on one
( and I'm not hard to please right now as I am "Between Amps")

Send a PM if you want to get on the pre-order list.

Full name and email needed. I will pass on the details.

BTW;
Tomorrow night I will have a Acoustic Engineer over to my house. He will bring some measuring equipment so he can scan my new listening room that is far from optimal ( shape, hard surfaces, positioning).
My novice guess ( before he scans) is that I will need some Bass traps as well as some reflective dampening panels.
I hope he does not just say....Sorry this is beyond an easy-fix

You will love it!

And I have in my heart
:)

Me too.

Nelson you were amazing with Bob yesterday. Helping him and us enjoy a wonderful time is something I will never forget. All you guys were a pleasure to hang out with and I so look forward to doing this on a regular basis.

Well you can always fall back on using the Finnish DSPeaker Anti-mode Dual Core 2. It auto-scans the room with an advanced algorithm and corrects in the digital domain.

...Yes the DSPeaker Module is an interesting alternative .... that MANY more should look into before buying new more expensive gear
There is even a cheap & simple "Fix" if playing music through a PC/MAC ( I'm using a tweaked Sonos)

Hey everyone!

I have just created my account because of my recent interest in this amp! But before anything happens i need to know something important..

* Directly from the owner's manual, "the Job 225 is a DC-coupled amp without protection. If it is associated with a badly designed or defective analog preamplifier (often true for tube preamps or some 5-channel processors) the speakers could easily be damaged by DC. The Job 225 doesn't amplify DC but DC applied at the input is passed to the output."

I am planning to build a Pass B1 to go with it! Is it safe to do so?
Thanks a lot guys!
Charles

Hi Charles,

Welcome to the forum! Thank you so much for joining. I think there is an easy way to check for DC output but I am not sure how. If I am not mistaken, the new amps coming will have some dc protection but we need to find out for sure. I've tried several preamps and have not had issues with the original amp. I will be ordering the new ones when they are available this or next week.
