Oops. Just so you are not confused I meant the Auralic Vega's preamp stage runs "hot" as in it has rather high gain. :D

Great looking speakers Norman! I can imagine timing is perfect with this set-up. Is that a sub woofer wrapped in plastic?
 
No, that is the Heil Aulos speaker! I am running the 4 speakers (with a hidden fast sub, not shown). Here is my work in progress after a house move several months ago. Unpacking is going sloooowly.

My inspiration came from this picture (old United Home setup) and after discussing with Martin D. (the manufacturer and EXTREMELY nice human being) I decided to copy the speaker setup. Martin explained why its so easy to work…all Heil speakers are made perfectly phase coherent with each other and so easily combinable. So far, the MacIntosh SS power amp is not hooked up, as the Rowen modded NAD can drive it all as its stable down to 1 ohm, but eventually I want to do a series paralell hookup and perhaps use the Lampi Big 7 as preamp or my Aum Acoustics LDR preamp that I bought from Richard as a grand experiment.

What is the warranty period on the JOB 225 amplifier? Do they have a repair facility in the USA?

1 year parts and labor.


There is a NY dealer that will do some repairs. If it's more serious, it may need to go back to Goldmund.

Fit and finish is outstanding for the price.

I just remembered that I had these fuses and might as well sell them to someone who can use them. I sold my JOB225 and no longer have a use for them. They are brand new and have never been used.

However, if the fully balanced system is all its cracked up to be, I can see you getting off the treadmill.

Hi,

I jus bought at Rel T9 subwoofer with high level speakon connection to amplifier. It comes with Rel-D proprietary circuitry to connect to class D or differential amp. There are 2 connection methods:

1) Method A is for normal amp in which the -ve speaker terminals on L and R are tied in the amplifier .the ground of the sub speakon cable
will connected to of of the -ve of the speaker terminal.
2) Method B is for differential or class D amp in which -ve speaker terminals on L and R are not connected to amplifier. the ground of the
sub speakon cable will be connect to amplified chasis ground

The high level speakon connection is recommended by Rel to have the best SQ and integration with 2 channel amp for stereo reproduction.
I understand if connected wrongly,potentially it will damage the sub and the amplifier.

I am not sure which method should be used to connect to Job 225 amp.

I'm also loving my Job 225 paired with the W4S Dac-2 and Salk Song Tower speakers, but what should I consider for pre-amps? I just picked up a Turntable for my Vinyl and was considering the Job pre2 or the Primaluna Prologue. Ideally I was hoping to try tubes but it sounds like the Primaluna isn't a good match for the Job 225 is that right? Any others pre-amps that I should be considering?
