How Many of You Are Totally Satisfied Right Now?

I'm very satisfied right now and have been for some time with the sound I'm getting from my two systems. However, I also know I'm not done making changes.

For me, as long as I'm making upward strides rather than sideways or backward moves then I feel like I'm on the right path.

I am very satisfied with the AG Zero 1 XD & Aurender N100H.
Thanks Mike!
Excellent listening at concert levels & amazing bottom to top in the evening at low levels. I get so much enjoyment with this combination. I get to spend my $ on music.
I worry not about amps & cables !
My wife actually said she likes the sound and the looks!
My previous system was Tannoy Cantuerbury SE & Spec amp with the Western Electric cables.

The Signature phono cable arrived today. The system is one step closer........ :fingers:

How about you Mark?

Mark-Just saw this. I'm damn happy with my system and my room. Every time I head into my room and see my system/room it puts a smile on my face. When I sit down to listen to tape, LP, or my music server playing DSD, the smile just gets bigger. I just added some artwork from my sister to add some color to my room and I really like it. I had 2 new LPs show up last week and 3 new LPs show up this week. Next week I should have 5 reels of tape showing up at my door. Life is good and I don't sit around and wonder how much better my system could be if only I would buy some new component.

I too have reached a level of contentment that all I care to do is relax and enjoy my music collection for hopefully many years to come ..........

I'm at that point where I can just relax and lose myself as I listen to my system. As I listen to my music my equipment just disappeas and I'm in my happy place. Man I'm so lucky!

Is it better to loose yourself than lose yourself? :skeptical:

I'm not. My McIntosh MVP took a dump on me again for the same problem. Had to take it back to the dealer back in January of 2016. It would only play Blueray's and SACD's. They replaced a ribbon cable. It was too short. Now I get to haul it back to fix the same issues. The warranty fix lasted 4 months. Glad Its still under warranty. Wonder if Charlie Randall will make good and replace it under warranty. Their quality is not as good as it use to be. Seems like they want less controls to do more work. Frank McIntosh must be turning over in his grave.

I'm in a great place right now with my system. As long as I don't change speakers I feel like I'm at a temporary stopping point.

Even after I come home from visiting Mike, and listening to his system, I'm not feeling like I'm missing out on anything.

Anyone else??

I think this hobby is about feeling unsatisified. I treat this hobby as one of learning, where I get to experiment with gear, and move on. Occasionally I come across a Lampi or Shun Mook and stop. But even finding a Lampi veered me in the direction of Turntables, and if I start down that route, I will never be satisfied. Need a modded Lenco, 3 or 4 belts, few carts, and multiple arms. And as far as speakers go, I need a big room first, then Trios with bass horns, and a WE 16 A on the wall. Even then I will never be satisifed, because I still won't have the Apogee Grands, and I just can't get myself to buy a 100k speaker even if I had the money. Dissatisfaction forever. Apogee Full range with the right room will happen though. One day.

Sounds like you should find another hobby if you're never satisfied.

One of my favorites that I like to ponder.

Well after a very long hiatus I got back into this crazy hobby last fall... and I have been loving it. It has been a complete re-learn (well not complete, just updated with the entire digital world)... but it has already been a wild ride. At this point I think I have finally hit a point of satisfaction, well for now anyway :D.....

The MC speakers have appeared to quenched that desire for a higher end speaker. They play well above Wolfgang's price level he put on them... showing the same sound characteristics as his previous line of equipment... (MBL :exciting::celebrate008_2::bananasplit:)... I do believe the guy is a genius :einstein:.
