Hello from NYC

I worked at 745 7th Ave for a while (Lehman Brothers)...that didn't end so well...haha.

Hey Jay...I worked at JPM (M&A) for 4 years in the late 1990s/early 2000s after b-school. What did you do at Lehman when you were there?

I'm a soon to be Westchester resident, and with that comes a much bigger living [read: listening] room. The question of the hour is, will the Micros be able to perform in a 22 x 32 room? Sub-woofers? Floor-standers? It will be an fun few months sorting it all out :)

22x32? Wow, that WILL be fun! Only wish I had a room like that to work with. Dont think the micros with those small drivers will be up to the task, but who knows? Nola also has the Metros of course, but now you in 20k+ territory, which opens up lots of doors (like my Salon 2s and a host of other amazing choices). We all look forward to helping you spend lots of your money :). It's only fair. These "friends" all did it to me, lol!!!

Haha...that's what i'm afraid of! I've been reading about Salon 2's, TAD E1's, Nola Metros, Marten Djangos, Magico S5's, etc. It is a slippery slope to a new amplifier and preamp, oh my!

With the house purchase my audio budget will likely be limited until 2014, so I hope the Nolas surprise me. Maybe a pair of JL f110's would help?

Give the Nola Micros some breathing room and you will be floored. They really are amazing. But, this does give you an excuse......

I still love them, and I'm hoping the new room will bring them to the next level. Every time I go listen to other systems it makes me appreciate mine even more...
