Hi, I'm a retired engineer who has been a music lover since my teens.
My first work was noise and vibration research and I worked at Garrard (who used to make record players). Then moved into Formula 1 motor racing for most of my career, though I spent a period as a consultant to Lola.
I have updated my hifi as funds allow over the years, starting with kit amplifiers and home built speakers and ending up with more than one system (!) partly because I can't bring myself to sell some things...
I have an all Goldmund system:-
Reference turntable with T3f arm and Ortofon A90 cartridge.
PH2 phono amp
Mimesis 22 Preamp
Mimesis 36+ transport
Mimesis 20 DAC
Mimesis 29.4 monoblocs
Epilog 1 & 2 speakers.
Also I can use the same TT into a second system in the main room.
iMac playing Devialet Air wireless streaming
Meridian Control 15
Lynx Theta tuner
Devialet 800 amps
Tune Audio Anima speakers.
In my bedroom I can listen via

Resolution Audio Cantata

I don't change kit often and am a big believer in the home demo (I have been very surprised by both big differences I did not expect and negligible ones when I had been expecting something big.
I have registered here because of the Job 225 thread. I have just bought one (without demo but hoping it is a bit like my Goldmunds). Not listened much yet.
