A monster amp![]()
Give Gryphon credit for the clever packaging to facilitate installation. Otherwise I don’t think you could fit a forklift into that room.
Wow, that’s really big. How does it sound?
For those familair with Gryphon Antileon and Mephisto, the Apex sounds even more like a Mephisto - even more dynamic, more resolution etc. Not a romantic sounding amp by any means.
A friend of mine had one at home with the new preamp.
We did, but Synergistic Research Galileo SX AC were replaced on ... Furutech Evolution II Power with IEC 19 plugs. Vantas were OK, but in our system they lack of body and drive.@SoundRebels I see you are/were using Synergistic Research power cords. How did that work with the Apex? And how are they different from the Vanta power cords that come with the Apex?
I couldn't find any info on the Evolution II power cord on Furutech's site. Everything else in the Evolution II line - speaker cables, digital cables, interconnects, etc.. looks to be meant for value-conscious people (like me). But it seems like you preferred the sound of the Evolution II over the far costlier Galileo SX. Am I interpreting this correctly? We did, but Synergistic Research Galileo SX AC were replaced on ... You're right and in EU Evo II power is still available - https://www.audiophonics.fr/en/power-cables/furutech-evolution-power-ii-power-cable-18m-p-10403.htmlI couldn't find any info on the Evolution II power cord on Furutech's site. That is one BEAST of an amp!
